First flakes from Haverhill, MA. Not really expecting anything here, just giving a northeastern goalpost for obs. Happy holidays to everyone getting some though! -

We all know that feeling. Sorry bro. Long way to go…you’ll make it up. -
Ocean effect only helps south shore I assume? Unless there’s some sound effect snow too
-
Pretty big ocean effect band forming from sandy hook out to Suffolk
-
Near La Scala and North Shore Farms?
-
It extends up to the lakes still almost… and the ocean effect ones are becoming more widespread

Has turned to full diamond dust here now. Down to 14.8F hopefully get a few more hours, would be nice to add another inch. -
The bands to the west gaining strength and so are the ocean effect ones
-
Heaviest snow of the storm right now.
-
Agreed. I moved further south. I am off of Harned road now off Vanderbilt. Was worried moving further south would be bad but so far it hasn’t made a difference at all

Pounding. Already over an inch and stacking. -
When was there ever a previous December that any sunshine occurred for more than a week straight? Since the 14th right after the snowstorm the day before, every single day had some sun, even when there were few days with any measurable precipitation or above-normal temps (especially yesterday's "Torchmas") during that stretch. Incredibly unreal, isn't it? Today, however, it all changed. Today was the first overcast day since the snowstorm back on the 13th and looks like we may very well be done with any sunshine heading into the new year. If this is the beginning of an upcoming longest overcast stretch of the season we're heading for, TWC/Wunderground is trying to be pushy about it. Other than the rainstorm Sunday, pretty much ZZZZZZZZZ.

They got an additional 0.20” of liquid equivalent 7-11PM. As of 7 PM, they had had only .01”.
-
Light sleet, maybe even freezing drizzle. Maybe it backfills a bit but this storm has been pretty lame.
-

-
That will be their final total. I remember some jokes yesteday that they would measure like 2.9” that might be spot on lol

4" here snow and 19F. -
I’m late on my reply. I meant that in no meteorological way. It was really just supporting my northern brethren in hopes that we get a miller A or a big hybrid low that blesses the masses later this winter!

0z GFS has the NYD clipper—dusting for most of the area. IMO this should trend south (and it has over the last few model runs), and it looks glaringly similar to the 12/14/25 system. It's only 120 hours out, needs to be watched.
