Too bad he copyrighted it...I wanted to steal that forecast, said no one with a modicum of genuine meteorological insight. -

Agree on 2015 being strongest....nice solar match, as well...like 2014 was last year, but I didn't explicitly use it as an analog due to ENSO, but it definitely informed my expectation for strong +TNH last season. -

I wasn't doubting +QBO......just saying, I would like a streamline of homogenous data. -

Glad you're back. -
I'm definitely not looking forward to those cold gusty north westerly winds that could exceed 40mph late Friday and Saturday.

@powderfreak congrats man that’s awesome. I bet the new digs will definitely help retain snowpack better (not that you had a problem with that lol). When my wife and I were looking around the cape for a second place, many places had HOAs that banned the units to be used as rental income because of the problems you described. PE firms would just buy them out and rent the shit out of them. Of course with the interest rates the way they are and me out of work for several months (fingers crossed I land something I’ve been pursuing for weeks soon) I’m glad we held off buying. But the problem you described is an issue.

The fact that models are trying to usher in the pattern in November when we typically don’t see it until later in December the earliest is actually attributed to it being the strongest Nino on record. -

Looks like a two day cold shot this weekend and then we warm up for days and days. Just enough of a tease for people to post pics of snowliage and snow guns blowing mice out, only to be replaced with shorts and flip flops early next week.

December 23. That’s when I’ll be out of town, so we know when to book that first snow

This makes me sad. I know it hasn’t been great but it’s still another data point to consider when trying to get a feel for a forecast. Plus it’s had its wins over the years. It’s being replaced by the RRFS, correct? Some other legacy models being replaced by this too, no? Less weather models to check is never a good thing in my book.
