  1. Past hour
  2. We'll see what tonight brings, but doubt "forests leveled" gonna happen.
  3. Because the winds are not accurate. It’s on my deck at ground level surrounded by woods. Why don’t you ever post models ?
  4. Is there a reason why these wind storms always seem to peak at night? I guess it's just random but I can only remember one peaking during the day and that was 03/02/2018. That event is still king for my area in terms of high wind events. It beats October 2017 and 2021 for sure.
  5. 59 with showers here Tunnels to Towers is still going on tomorrow. I have to be there at 8am.
  6. Winds have been unimpressive here. Best I could manage in 2 days is a 24 mph gust. Wasn't expecting much but more than that.
  7. Wind and rain returned after the lull that was forecasted. 55/54
  8. Shopping in a mall in Hudson Yards, wind and rain are really cranking here in manhattan
  9. Lots to unpack in this final El Niño update before the main Outlook in about 6 weeks time, but this weekend's major east coast storm may be a sign of what is to come. Here is one excerpt to provide a bit of a sneak-preview: A diligent forecaster that has engaged in an exhaustive analysis of the data will be acutely aware of the fact that the pattern across the hemisphere has grown much more representative of a healthy El Nino during the month of August. A forecaster of this ilk would position oneself to also be aware of a potential mid-season shift westward in the orientation of an El Nino that absolutely presents as east-based in the mean; not to mention a winter season that was exceptionally mild overall in the midst of a rapidly warming climate, yet managed to facilitate shorter-term unions between the arctic branch and the most impressive subtropical jet ever observed to author one of the most scintillating chapters in meteorological lore- https://easternmassweather.blogspot.com/2026/09/record-el-nino-poised-to-trigger.html
  10. Think they're for his chestnut tree. Not paw paws.
  11. Wind is definitely escalating now. Pity it's dark out and I can't see the mayhem unfold.

  14. Great finish to the Iowa Michigan game
  15. Is today it or is tomorrow going to be rainy too West of the bay?
  16. Unfortunately it was suicide, just heard on scanner app.
  17. We’re not really in line for wind up here. It was breezy this morning, but once the showers moved in the temp wetbulbed down, we got inverted, and lost the little mixing we had.
  18. Don’t get too worried…it’s usually less severe wind wise, than not.
  19. I’m in western Suffolk and heard my first low roar right after you called this .
  20. You didn’t say…just said no winds this morning. Trolling Kevin is what I said.
