  1. Past hour
  2. Only a matter of time with these heavy rain cores. Now it’s over the more prone areas. Stay safe over there in Columbia.
  3. Picked up another 0.49 for a total of 1.15 for the day but zero wind or severe with this last batch. My basement is chilly
  4. Crazy month when it starts raining wives.
  5. Tornadic circulation about to pass south of my place in Edgewater. Looks like we’ll get smoked by rain again there. Needed 1.21” to eclipse 9” for the month. Have a good shot I feel. Man, what a month for rainfall around here.
  6. LSR indicates a funnel cloud was spotted north of Holy Cross Hospital. Anybody have a link to that? I haven't been able to find it.
  7. One of the better couplets of the day..
  8. Flash flood warning for southern HoCo now
  9. That one south of La Plata looks close..probably needs a warning soon
  10. The hoco cell def merged with the aa co cell below it. Nice little meso there in the upper levels
  11. No doubt! Rippin rain. Had a fantastic cloud to ground lightning strike though that almost had me spit my beer out. Note I said “almost”. I hate to waste beer.
  12. ^^Or, the DC beltway split. All this activity all around and maybe light rain here.
  13. Yeah rotation looks fairly broad on radar
  14. Good call for sure. Just to be safe! I think rotation yes, but mostly in the clouds at this point.
  15. Missed all the heavy rain here. 0.41” two day total
  16. I think that the original meso occluded - you can see a northwest motion in loops. A new one has been trying to form over Columbia but has struggled to organize. The rain is legit, though. Incredible flooding in my neighborhood
  17. Mrs WxUSAF is in downtown Columbia and I told her to move to interior areas of the building
  18. Whatever it may be, It’s coming up 29 north. It’s probably stuck in traffic.
  19. Pretty wild that northern moco and frederick are unscathed. Just spinning around that area. .
  20. The cell running south of Columbia from my part of AA co.
  21. Still 5-8 miles or so. Southwest. Just heavy rain and thunder here. No wind to speak of. >4”/hr rainfall rates
  22. I tried to get a good view of it from the backside after it passed over me. Too many low level clouds obscuring the base. Definitely saw some lowering between clouds, but couldn't see it well enough to see if it was rotating or not. Edit: It was really trying to get its act together when it went over me. The updraft that formed the hook was directly overhead and I saw the associated rain shaft form directly overhead. There was a ton of vorticity, but nothing organized until after it passed me.
