I can't wait. It's going to feel amazing compared to this sauna garbage

Newark new record at 101 and Central Park has tied the record of 96 from 1888 (not 1988 lol).

fwiw... and I need to check some guidance but tomorrows 100+ should reach NYC and much of interior w LI. Airmass overhead entire area is similar. Too much real estate for the cooler seabreeze to mitigate before 3PM, especially after a head start tomorrow morning at sunrise of 80+. Pretty good chance interior NJ hits 100 on Wed before storms.

Interesting i figured since further north and less daylight it got weaker but i stand corrected -
Yeah super cool. Impressive but awesome mesoscale stuff that makes thermodynamic sense. Just mixed it right out coming down the Adk east slope into the Champlain Valley.

Really nice breeze here at pit2. Makes the 80 feel nice..
-
at Newark it was 80 with a 101 temperature, so within range.

Even being in air the idea of eating anything right now is not on my mind.

Check out that temp jump/dew drop when the wind flipped W over 20mph. https://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman/meso_base_dyn.cgi?stn=KPBG&time=GMT

Yes and Chuck thinks it will be hotter than June (which is what happens the majority of the time.)
-
why cant we get that kind of weather with the sun out and get a regular cold front passage?
-
No July thread yet... but thinking on it next several days but need go check some stuff. Looks active to me

Looks like sea breeze has made to me in E CT, temp went from 96F to 93F
-
wow 90 degrees is as rare there as 100 degrees is here !! Do you have the highs at Allentown and Scranton? Were both in the mid 90s Chris ??
-
Mine has a 2F bias. Factor that in and it's pretty much spot on.

Check out Plattsburgh (PBG) across the Lake from BTV… first 100F reading in 50 years. However, the most impressive thing so far is that Plattsburgh reached 100 degrees, the first time in exactly 50 years. They must be downsloping and mixing out off the east slope of the Adirondacks. They were 91/75… then something happened and they shot up to 100/65. Lost the dews but gained the temperature. Heat index remained about the same in the 102-104F range.
-
I notice car thermo will be higher with engine heat contamination. Like that 109 earlier ...lol...I was idling for 5 minutes with no breeze. If you are cruising on I93 it should not be wildly high, maybe a few degrees.

Says the one just sitting and stationary.

The only torch I really remember fondly was March ‘12.
