dailylurker Posted yesterday at 07:38 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:38 PM I decided to take the day off and hike up Sugar Loaf Mountain. What's with the hazyness today? Low lever moisture? Wildfire smoke? Chem trails? It really limited the view and dulled the fall color. It was still a beautiful hike. 7

That pic actually look great and fairly clear. We have had a slight wind today which has cleared some of the smog (from camp fires, cars, etc...under this "oppressive" high pressure.) This Am it was like a Canada Wildfire day but better now.

Looks like HGR will end up with a top 20 warmest Oct (58.4 Mean as of yesterday) but they had one day with what I remember to be severe related qpf so not near any monthly records at 2.33" total. 87storms
Woke up to a thunderstorm in Henderson, NV. Why did I have to come here for weather? I'm in a state of disbelief at the stretch of weather back east. Has it rained there the past 2 weeks?

Arctic blue sky, perfect temps, no rain. It's not that dry. The trails i hike in the woods are moist like they usually are from November to May. The shorter days and low sun angle doesn't dry things out.
