Rain started here. Temps are pretty warm right now...66/53. Looks like a decent SE fetch developing in this area over the next couple days.

I like seeing the banding and lightning showing up on radar.

First shotgun blast sound from a snapping tree just now. Don't think it's in my yard, however. Generally breezy with the occasional whistling gust and attendant downpours. Let's see what the day brings.

Heading to the BC/VA Tech FB game today for noon, son is a SO down at VT. Hopefully the weather deteriorates during the game, rather mundane right now.

The morning jog was a little sketchier than I thought. Main north/south road from my house is blocked about a mile north with a big maple. A FedEx driver actually stopped and told me I should go home. He said he's seen a half dozen trees down so far this morning.

So far a bust here. .16" or rain an a gust to 16 mph.   We were always on the boarder line for heavy rains.. 1" to 5 inches in the span of 30 miles by most models.
