There's some severe risk on Thursday in the Upper Mississippi and  Ohio valleys. Getting an expansion and shift this for east, is asking for a lot, but, I don't think it's outside the realm of possibilities considering the expansions, we've seen the last two weeks. Expansion/ shifts or not. It keeps up the pattern of early spring severe risk being displaced north and east.

As a weather geek I thought yesterday was kind of neat - my temp was in the mid 50s at 11am and I still managed a high of 83. I was able to watch the temp steadily rise on the station which doesn't happen often.

Me thinks there's going to be a lot of active weather in the coming months.

I just hope we don't ride the boundary all summer long where we get a nice day or two followed by 2-3 muck days, then a nice one again, and so forth and so on.

Temp down to 43 in Maytown. Was 59 at midnight. Still some upper 60s to around 70 degree readings in northern VA.

From reaching a high of 84ºF yesterday afternoon to 37ºF and wet snowflakes today. And about 0.8” of rain in between. 3.44” for the month now which is already the wettest month in quite awhile.

For the most part we ended up on the outside looking in. I think this is a pretty decent lightning event even for the Ohio Valley. Lots of talk about the duration and the sound of the thunder last night on the internet coming from out that way. I was really thinking that that would be us last night. Im dying for a lightning event like this.9

A few stills from my live srteam test yesterday . I was live streaming for over 5 hours yesterday at not a single person here could tell me if my link, sound, video  were working from the forum end. A little frustrating I must say, unless of course it wasn't working from this end, which for I have no g****** idea.

Snow is beautiful. March in PA is crazy.  We are like 4 degrees above average with mean temperature this March. Try to roll with the punches and enjoy it.

 I'm sitting in my truck in Mechanicsburg wrapping up some paperwork  and there's a very snow squalish, low top convective look to the clouds out here. I'm not seeing any virga at this point..I love cold , but something about today made me consider laying my rake on the ground , tines up, and hopping on it ,hands behind my back.

Today felt like January. Even though my temperature stayed at 38-39 that wind at times made it feel cold. I know my wife was coming home off 81 at the Hegins exit the temperature on her car showed 33 at the exit.

What you can't see was sleet mixed in with the snow in the pic. It started as straight sleet and came down pretty hard. Enough to make paved/concrete surfaces wet. Along with making the vehicles look like steady rain hit. After about ten minutes it changed over to mostly snow - for about another ten minutes.

I can definitely say I was NOT expecting that...

It's been flurrying here since my initial post, About ten minutes ago, it switched over to sleet ,at a pretty moderate rate. It's still increasing in intensity.

Those little blips mean business. As noted earlier, this stuff looked extremely saturated at the base, although not very tall. It's hammering down snow and sleet here.

Its settled down here.. But it's been doing this on and off for a while, just  not at that intensity, I'm going to live stream in case it does that again. 

That seemed to be the grand finale. If anything else should occur with intensity, I'll pop the live stream back up if I'm awake. All live stream post will be deleted after closure.

32 degrees this morning. Yesterday was brutal…10 degrees below normal with 32 mph wind gust and the wind was 9mph.

Normal temperature is supposed to be 45 degrees. The river is blowed out agin with high water. 
 I did get out Friday, the water Temperature was 42 degrees. Caught 1 fish 16.5” smallmouth.

This spring we’re getting a little bit of everything thrown at us.
