John1122
I'm still not sure which way anything is moving or if it's moving at all on radar. It just seems to dance in different directions on the different sites I use.

Just kind of spinning around? Idk I may be grasping for straws here, but yes it’s odd for sure.

But the edge nearest moved north, south, then east over the last 30 minutes.

Unless he's on Beartown or up on Big A no shot. I'd be shocked if Lebanon went nuclear and Honaker didn't with how the radar has presented. That said microclimates have shocked me in the past. That said I like this drone shot he did which looks about right. https://x.com/i/status/2017405886688354344
TellicoWx
Hopefully, it will improve here (have a bad feeling it won't tho), stopped for awhile now, dusting blowed off, and bare ground.

Stovepipe
The HRRR shows a rapid expansion westward from 1am to 2am and again the next hour. Sure hope the radar blows up like that, will be fun if it does. Currently 22.5 here and if the HRRR is correct it'll be 19 degrees by 2am.

bearman
Tried to go to sleep but just couldn't. I have been right in this huge hole in the radar that runs right down the middle of Knox County. I am slap in the middle of the valley. I keep thinking those bans are going to rotate around, but they seem to just pulse on and off. Hoping one will just pulse up over me. It is pretty cool to think the whole synoptic of the storm will show itself in the next 2 hrs, or at least from our perspective. Kind of wild! Looks like it's trying to form a line that will move across several counties.
John1122
I can't tell which way it's going but the band that sat over me and dumped on me looks like it's made it's way down to Oak Ridge and Clinton. If it's sinking south, it should over take Knoxville soon.

John1122
1am down to 17. I'll get very gusty winds that blow snow, and then it calms down for a while. It's mostly blown snow off the trees.
John1122
Looks like the band is beginning to sink into West Knoxville. Oak Ridge looks to be getting nailed currently.

That band appears to disappear as to extends to the south, but I can assume that it goes further south than the radar shows, as the snow has picked up a pretty good tick. Visibility is much lower the snow is very fine but coming down at a good clip, wind whipping it around at times makes it look even more impressive. This feels like this storm is going to really over produce. I reached about an inch total from just the frontal passage snow, and now it's picking up, heaviest it's been since it started.
ShawnEastTN
It is coming down, I've definitely crossed into heavy snow, I live on a state highway and it's now fully snow covered for the first time since it started, though its also 22 degrees which definitely helps.
John1122
You may be a little too far from the radar for it to see that band well. I hope some of our Knox crew us up, looks like heavy snow sagging across them.
Hurricaneguy
I'm going to be up for a while for this one. Coming down like crazy right now. I'm going to measure at 3am. I suspect we'll be pushing 6'' by then
Stovepipe
It's happening! As we approach the magic hour the radar is filling in. It is snowing pretty hard on me under that band. Not huge flakes but rippin good at 21.7 degrees. These kinds of rates will add up if we can keep em coming.
Reb
I’ll sleep after it stops snowing lol. Heavier bands are setting up ahead of that oak ridge band now. One is popping over my house right now
John1122
Looks like radar is filling in back to the South west too, with a solid area that may move over everyone south of 40, provided it survives the Plateau.
