Damn that is definitely brutal. 3” here in Winder with another 1-2” likely by evening

.

Yeah, y’all definitely hit the jackpot over there. I’ve seen Buford’s gotten a ton too. I think we’ve had more sun than accumulation, haven’t even had what could be considered a dusting yet. Just the way these things go sometimes I guess

Wife asked me why I’m staring at my phone all day if there’s not gonna be a storm. I said I’m rage posting, it makes me feel better

There's also this:

Wife just texted me in the same room

My sister lives in the Norcross area, or somewhere around there, and they didn’t even get a dusting. That’s literally only a 35 mile difference from where I’m at. We definitely got in the banding and heaviest of snow over this way. We’ll finish with about 3.5” in Winder but boy it definitely felt like wa more! Everything looks so wintry and like I’m back in Michigan lol and it freaking feels like it! 6° wind chill right now.

No one one here and I repeat no one can give the Raleigh crowd sh*t after today if we cliff dive early on storms. This is actually absurd

I would actually just give up to be honest. What's the point? You definitely live in a peculiar place that always gets the shaft.

My friend who lives adjacent to Lake Lynn just said "it has begun".......time to squint at the roofs across the street til a flake is visible :weenie::weenie::weenie::weenie::weenie::weenie:

I grew up in Raleigh and moved back here as an adult.  This is about as big of a disappointment as I can ever recall.  My husband from the midwest can't understand why I'm so upset... but when you have a shot at a once in a generation storm and you blow it... it stings.

I think I know how it feels to lose in the Superbowl now. Living in Raleigh since a toddler the mid 70s, I recall a lot of good snow events in the 80s through the early 2000s, miss those days. Being located in Southern Wake, the last "good" snow was in 2018, with a few screw jobs the prior 3-4 years of that one. I want to retire up north lol.

Do people actually exist outside my village? Is this "snow" story just some manufactured dream useful for mollifying a restless population held under close scrutiny and manipulated into buying a false reality?

"You are Number Six."

I am not a number! I am a free man!

"HAHAHAHAHA"

I am sad though. Wanted to enjoy this major storm, that I built up for days, with my son who’s going off to college next fall.

upside is he received an offer to play football at Elizabeth City State next year.

I’ll remember 1/31/26 forever.
