Another Coating of Snow Saturday - "It's all we Got"

Seems all we can muster up this season are these coating to 2" storms.

Higher elevations favored, should be a a few hour period of moderate snow..

Timing differences with the steadiest snow, GFS is a bit earlier, EURO a bit later..

Looks like a snowy Saturday morning for most, earlier the better for accumulation potential down to the shore..

Snow growth looks solid, nice lift in the snow growth zone..

Should be a solid swath of .15-.35" qpf

Yesterday I was hoping to break 20 inches for the season by Monday, but that looks like a long shot at this point. Hopefully Saturday is more than just white rain.... Knock on wood, but I feel like WOR has been pretty lucky with these meager systems this year

Looks like WoR and higher up to me. You could get a couple. Models wavering a bit as to where the band sets up.

Actually snows right to the coast even in SE MA. Should whiten grass even there . Looking forward to a couple of paste here if things hold

Looks warm in a lot of spots. Maybe you cool for an inch to end.

Looks borderline SE of 84 and warm SE of 95.  Will need rates and timing to be early morning. I couldn’t see a stripe of 2-4” in the meat of the band where it’s cold enough

yeah, I am lower elevation (160ish), so these borderline setups with weak rates never do well regardless of the time of year, unless it is during the evening or at night

ORH to Kevin should be plenty cold enough for snow. It’s the QPF that is the question. If you get less than a tenth of QPF at 31-33F then it might be just coatings. But you rip a quarter inch and I can easily see 1-3”

Most models printing out .25-.35. At 31-32.. that’s gonna do some damage

Yup . That’s our weekend event . We whiten

Yeah that’s the best chance of getting everything covered before the cold shot early next week. Esp for central and western areas. Eastern areas will have more trouble Saturday and they have a better chance of getting a few inches from the actual coastal.

Still mild to start. Might be one of those things where you wetbulb to 32 after a little while.

Yeah could start at 33-35ish but 925 is like -2 or -3 so should easily wetbulb/latently cool down to 31-32. I’m a little skeptical of sfc warming from like 28 to 35 though over interior in a few hours….esp high terrain.

NAM is colder with upper 20’s

NAM looks totally different and starts it predawn. Most of the euro stuff is afternoon/early evening. Most other guidance is closer to euro on evolution of Saturday stuff.

Yea things break right for us with big flooding rains and meager winter shortwaves that queef out an extra inch but when the time comes for a big dog, we get slapped by his tail…

Yeah, one of these years we will make a run....I scored more 16"+ events living in Delaware for 7 years than I have being up here for 10 years...odd times
