OK give up all your possessions

You must have me mixed up with someone else.

I know we won't get the rest of the world that produces 90% of the greenhouse pollution on board with completely eliminating them, so we should just inject aerosols into the stratosphere annually to bring down temps to where they were at least 30 years ago.

Did you die when Mount Pinatubo erupted? Were your days shrouded in darkness because of the eruption?

20 million tons of sulfur dioxide into stratosphere dropped the global temperature by 1 degree F.

This can be done. All of you poo pooing this will regret it.

What do you do next year is the question.

A one time fix does not help, we need a permanent (say 1000 years or more) solution.

I'm for an annual injection. This isn't some pie in the sky stuff like deploying mirrors in space to reflect the Sun, it can be done.

And while we clamp down on the warming with the injections, we can still transition to clean energy, manufacturing, transportation, etc and eventually stop the aerosols.

People constantly act like this is a USA problem when we're only responsible for 10% of greenhouse gases.

We need to act now before sht goes off the rails. Can't wait for the rest of the world to do anything, because they're not.

i have a big giant house that i keep at 68 degrees all summer and i have three cars in the garage. i had all the trees on my property cut down because i hate them. climate change is china's fault

China built between 200 and 300 coal power plants over the last 10 years

The West has built none in the last 25 years.

Do they know in China that they could have built solar panel farms or wind energy in the last 10 years instead? Or maybe even Natural Gas even though it also sucks but nowhere near as much as coal?

And you want to fix climate change all on your own when you're up against that lol ok good luck

Earth doesn't care bud, the sooner you learn that the faster we can get to a solution.

Giving China 50 extra years to pollute the shit out of the Earth because they were late to industrialize might make you feel good because you might have some type of Western guilt but the Earth doesn't care.

I got tired of replacing the battery constantly on mine so I bought a third party solar panel, drilled into the brick at a good angle and hooked it up to the terminals behind the Ring Doorbell Camera.

I haven't replaced my battery since I installed it. Clean energy for free!

You know what, maybe someone should let the Chinese know about it!

this lasts a lifetime and never needs charging. btw where was that solar panel made?

It was made in China.

They should think about using their own products instead of building 250 coal power plants in 10 years.

It will support their local economies.

If only the USA had access to wind energy and solar panels 120 years ago when we were industrializing :/

Luckily the Chinese and everyone else today have access to modern clean technologies to power their societies.

I dont have ANY cars anymore and refuse to fly in an airplane.  I do have an airconditioner I keep at 60 degrees but only in my bedroom, the rest of my house is not airconditioned.  If I need to go somewhere far, I take a cab or uber lol.

the earth doesn't care if humans go extinct either, it will probably celebrate that event with a huge explosion in biodiversity being the result.

I have an AA/AA battery charger that uses solar panels lol
