Where do you get these totals from?

I live in West Grove and got a total of 1.11" per my Ambient Weather station.

2 miles from my spot where I picked up 0.73" they received over 2" ....tropical showers and t-storms vary across short distances

Wasn't sure if I'd get there but I did tap 90 today just after 2:30 pm.  That was day 4 in a row for a current heatwave and have now had 6 of 9 days in July of 90 and above.  For the past 3 months (MJJ) so far, I have had 13 days of 90+ & 1 day of 100.

It's currently a partly sunny and hazy 88 with dp 72.

This.  But even with some with fairly steady rainfall, like with stratiform events, the rainfall totals can vary over short distances.  I use all my local Davis stations on Weatherlink, and more often than not, the totals are at least a bit different.  And the stations are all within a few miles of each other.

I'll bet a lot of Davis users don't bother to calibrate the rain guage.

Getting into some pretty heavy rain here. Very dark, radar looks good, a little thunder and lightning, no wind to speak of. Lots of rain, a quarter inch in the last 5 minutes.

Eta - make that 1/2" in 8 minutes!

Let's make that 3/4" in 10 minutes, lol. Getting windy now too!

Now 1" in 12 minutes!

Even across the street at times. It is a fascinating time of the year. The difference between the winners and losers is a lot greater than the other seasons .

Thanks, we're sitting on the porch, watching the rain. 2.25" so far. Looks like it wants to expand across the river, maybe you'll "get some"?

Good stuff!  It does look like it's intensifying into Jersey.  Regardless, the whole line is looking pretty damn good.  I want mayhem, but I'm okay with beneficial rainfall, too.  Lol

Hope you get dumped on, but 2 hours max. Is that reasonable?

Worst possible timing for this line of storms. Union vs. NY Red Bulls was supposed to start at 7 and they delayed kickoff 10 minutes before. Now it’s uncertain if they’ll even play the game tonight. Glad I didn’t buy tickets.

Yeah, my son is town there. Luckily his buddy has season tickets and they offered admission to The Commodore Club, so they are dry. Just praying for a safe ride home. Gonna be lots of flooding tonight!
