ChescoWx
Shower chances increase by late today. We could see a couple of thunderstorms later today and continue tomorrow morning. This should be a pretty healthy regionwide rain event with at least 0.50" to 1.50" of rain for most of us in the north and west Philly burbs. After that, the weather looks great for the weekend. Temperatures will start well below normal tomorrow with highs struggling to escape the 50's in ridge locations, but we will warm back up slightly above normal with highs in the mid 70's for Mother's Day. ChescoWx
0.25” to 0.50" of rain has fallen since midnight across the County. Here in East Nantmeal we have recorded 0.37" of rain. We could see another 0.25" to 0.75" today before the rain ends later in the day. Today will be much chillier than normal with high temperatures a good 12 degrees below normal remaining in the 50's for most. We warm back to near normal temperatures by Sunday with our next rain chances arriving by Tuesday night.

rcostell
Observation: The repeated underperformance of rainfall amounts in our part (western Camden County) of SNJ has been notable. Amounts from the last several events to the west and in some cases to the east on the coastal plain have been significantly higher. Soil moisture and vegetation are continuing to suffer. Last 2 days have featured minimal rain- not enough to wet under the trees and radar looks to be winding doiwn rapidly from this event, Dry begets dry it seems.

It is a strange spring with such variability of precip totals over short distances. You are either in it or not this spring..
