Central PA Summer 2020: Hoping The Heat Makes a Hasty Retreat

Recommended Posts

Now we are headed into dry weather for a while it looks like but with no heat either so pros and cons.

Just taking the Euro's output into consideration, sprawling group of high pressures keeps most of the US  dry for the next 10 days though there is a hurricane encroaching on the panhandle of Florida at the end.  500 mb chart shows our air coming out of Central Canada at the end of the run.  Not cold but not hot :-)

Might need some more tropical systems to do that.  Doubt we make it bu the end of Met Summer in 13 days but could  make it by the end of Calendar Summer.

LOL. I just want something to track so hope we have something soon. I so much missed tracking over the winter.

I think I had about 162. I'll check with NWS and let you know.

The temp did drop from 81 to 72 here when the mighty beast blew in and out over a matter of minutes.  Impressive drop.

85/67 here. A wee bit more uncomfortable than what I was expecting. Way better than that July nonsense, however.

That line is marching pretty steadily toward your general area.

I was thinking about this the other day - I'm not one to wish time away (especially at my age) but I wouldn't mind if we could hit the fast forward button to 2021 and see what we have to work with next year.

Yes. The next time it shows snow for us. It seems like it's NEVER wrong when we want it to be.

Yea, It was not good this past winter.  MDT would have had an above average snow year if it was rollin' EC style.
