Recently got an apartment over in Perrysburg, OH to complete the rest of the "work from home" phase this year while living with one of my old high school friends. Seems like this storm trended a bit NW here to follow me back west :D. Feeling pretty good about 10–12" here across much of NW Ohio. Will easily be some local totals over a foot. Excited to see how the ratios pan out. Only 16° at TDZ right now, 20 at CLE. I wouldn't be worried about the HRRR showing mixing that far north back in NE Ohio.

That area looks to be in the jackpot zone for sure. Given how flat and open western Ohio is I'm sure there will be some huge drifts. Still feel good about 8-12"+ locally. Euro did bump north a bit at 12z. Still keeps mixing southeast of the area though.

Lots of sleeting in Columbus and Cincinnati hope we stay all snow

Let's hope it doesn't make it up this far. Small flake steady snow at the moment, but there are some heavier returns near Akron headed this way.

Things getting started pretty good in Toledo.  Hat it when the flake size takes some time to build, but radar looks solid.  What does everyone make of the dry slot in SW Ohio.  Where will that track?

Its stayed all snow for me so far right on the lake in mentor

Hope it stays that for you.  Feels like kind of letdown in Wayne County.  Was supposed to be near a foot for us as of this morning.

Removed snow from drive at 5:30.  At this point I have maybe .750” of sleet and snow on the drive since then. It kind of looks like snow with some rain mixed in.  Far cry from what they had forecast.  I’ll be honest,  it’s a bit of a letdown. I think school district will regret cancelling so early.

Yeah i was looking at 10-15 last night on the models and i'll be lucky to see 6 not in drifts.

Yeah I doubt if we even get that much here. I'm thinking maybe 3 inches, MAYBE.

What a bust locally. Not a great performance by the weather models.

Ya very poor modeling.  Looks like sleet made it all the way to the lakeshore.

Maybe 2" out there

I measured around 4" before it flipped to sleet so there was a lot of compaction.

I'm here for some Lake Effect

KCLE - Precipitation Depiction, 7_55 AM.gif

The storm here was a disappointment, similar to just about everyone east of the Detroit river.  Late getting started, shut off early, and poor flake size.  Missed out on the sleet tho'...  Seems that LE has started up recently, and is the best snow of the whole event.  Maybe you guys south of the lake can get some too.  Good luck.

Got around 8" here.  Not a bad storm but when nearly every model is showing double digit amounts less than 24 hours out, you can't help but be a little disappointed.  Just couldn't avoid the dry slot.  Seemed like every time snow started to really stack, another dry slot would move in.

Its snowing harder now that any point during yesterday's "storm". Must be a little shortwave crossing over the lake.

Weird, the pc forecast now has 4-8" for today..... Not sure what that's about, maybe a glitch?   There's definitely a lake response, but that seems extreme.

At this rate 4" will be a lock. Off and on whiteout conditions this afternoon. It's pure fluff though. Must be just enough moisture coming through the ice.

Mentor should have picked up a few inches at least.  Seems that band hung out in lake county for a while.  I picked up just under 3" throughout the day and overnight.
