Still no freezing temps to be found through mid November on the GFS and Euro...might make a run at December :)  :sizzle:

Signals for a blowtorch are showing up now.  Trough off the West Coast.  +NAO/AO. Large elongated SE HP.  Look at the deep SW fetch.  What the hell is wrong with November.  Wasn't last year or the year before relatively cool?  But it seems  most are way above normal now.

Not much to do with November weather, but officials with the Township of Woolwich in the Region of Waterloo, Ontario will be expanding the tornado siren network across the township this month to include the communities of Breslau, and St. Jacobs. Three tornado sirens are already up in the community of Elmira. The new siren in Breslau has been purchased from the United States company 'Federal Signal', and is the 2001-130 model of siren. It'll be audible within the eastern areas of the city of Kitchener, and Kitchener city officials have released a bulletin advising residents if they hear the siren it could mean a tornado. St. Jacobs, which is about 1 mile north of Waterloo, will be re-using an existing siren from the volunteer fire department.

Neat graph above. How would other years compare with resect to amplitudes of the line graph. Seems to be some major swings where nighttime lows exceed normal highs and vise versa.

Can definitely see the cool March, July cold snaps, and then the back half of October being below normal. There was some wild swings in temperature April - June around here. A lot of highs and low in the spring and early summer around here thanks to the marine influence.

2012 for comparison.

One thing is for certain this year was much cooler than last WRT nighttime lows exceeding the normal highs for the day. 2012 had 20plus vs 5 this year to date. This is a nice little graph which quickly describes the year in general temperature wise.

2012 was a very warm year, 2013 is looking to finish up at the 30 year moving average.

I just use wunderground climate history to see the year versus average.

Looks like the first major snow event possible over C Minnesota and NW Wisconsin.  This is typically when they see their first decent snowfall in most winters.

Winter storm watch has been hoisted for most of the MPX CWA for Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Yeah quite cold and dry today. Dewpoint is around -10.4C or 13.3F meaning the atmosphere is quite dry so little water vapor and good for some nice frost again tonight. Though every thing has already died, its good to cool the surface.

Only a high of 38 today at YYZ

Beautiful day today. Cool, crisp, dry air that just felt so fresh. Was great to have the sun out too, as it really warmed you up and made it quite enjoyable outside.
