Surprised none of the local mets are talking more about the temps friday AM. Seems like we could potentially have a hard freeze right around rush hour. GFS has temps at 9z of 35 and 12z of 24 (and still dropping)! You would think any left over moisture from rain would freeze quickly. Would be great to get a snow shower or 2 around that time as well.

I think everything will probably be dry by then but could we see some bay effect with the north winds behind the low?

We've been mentioning it for quite a while. I think black ice could cause some problems although the strong winds will help to quickly dry things up.

Most models have precip ending right around rush hour

The cold air IS still (and after the week or so of moderation) going to be centered on this side of the pole.     Be pretty sad if we get a whole winter that favors cold for this hemisphere for once and not get climo snow for Richmond and AKQ area.    Though it would not come as a surprise.
