WEST OF LAFAYETTE...MOVING EAST AT 55 MPH.

HAIL UP TO ONE-HALF INCH IN DIAMETER AND WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH ARE

EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM...ALONG WITH HEAVY RAIN AND FREQUENT

DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.

Pea size hail here...bunches of it. Just pelting my window, enough so to wake me up and post, lol. And pouring buckets with lighting and thunder. Totally didn't expect this. :lol:

Oops, guess I should type something in here. Anyways, yeah, I woke up as well the hail and thunder was a nice early morning surprise!

Under a severe thunderstorm warning on January 17! :) No severe weather at my house, but probably 40-50 mph wind and heavy rain.

What a surprise this morning! Small hail and similar winds here too. If I can't have snow with this storm, these storms are an acceptable alternative.

Very dangerous storms just east of, and southwest of Louisville.

A little surprising that a Convective Watch wasn't issued.

Yup.... I saw the wall cloud and RFD area go right over us in downtown... 8,500 without power in southern Louisville... and the air conditioning unit of the hotel diagonal across the block from where I work was blown down onto a major street.
