Gibbs and Ryan were pinging for hours and begging for Kev to switch over, posted every sleet ob that came in but it never made it. Worst commute of my life.

Yup..they were both adamant I would switch to pelters. Will and I stood firm and said no.. Will and I FTW and jackpot with 11 inches. That was when they used to ride the GFS thermal profiles.

Everytime it pours snow like that I think of that day, worst snow growth ever, was like driving on marbles though. Classic Ryan meltdowns in that thread as he longed to be in WH not in Guilford.

We might be visiting this thread a lot. This and the snowstorm memories thread.

Maybe we'll get a Dec 27-28, 1990.

That storm was ok, but it actually was disappointing because the forecast was for like 8-12" and we got around 5 or 6". I think wind more out of the E kind of screwed BOS a little.

I have memories of being bummed about that storm. I remember that one. I was in 6th grade.

The 2 Day Classic of Dec 08 TSSN 20+ in areas

http://www.easternus...1908-snowblitz/

I just got nostalgic reading that. That Dec 19th-21st will always have a special place for me. Not only was it my first real snow event on the board, I proposed in the common on the night of the 20th as the flurries subsided. A true weenie on his knees in the snow...lol.

Nothing beats being on the board in a widespread snow event.

The 12/21 storm was originally going to be rain and freezing even out past ORH...but it kept trending colder and colder as we neared it. Ended up as 100% snow anywhere outside 128.

That was the storm where Ray cleaned up as the storm was trying to form a deformation band before exiting northeast. He was also playing naked twister with the coastal front which was one of the sharpest I have seen

Impressive CF. I also remember a squall line that intensified as it passed NE of me and nailed you guys as storm 1 was winding down.
