the cold air is impressive on the N winds. in the teens to 20 in full march sunshine up here.

yeah, i don't know about you but I'm not really complaining about missing the snow this time around. If it were a month earlier, i would be, but I'm in spring mode now. Unless it's going to be an historic storm like early April 1975, I say let the storm miss us.

def agree, could care less about a few inches of snow at this point, given the overall vibe of the season.

as far as snow goes, im only looking forward to next winter.

as you mentioned, unless its a biggie.

Snow intensity here at SU has really picked up over the last hour.....just under an inch so far, but based on visibility, we're approaching 1"/hr. stuff at times, with heavier echoes to our west. Models aren't doing well with where the heaviest axis of snow (for this "2nd part") was supposed to be. Looks to verify a good 30-40 miles north of the model consensus from this morning....

I had a horrific drive home at about 3:00 this afternoon After just light snow all day, and clear roads, the temp must have dropped and the snow really picked up to where visibility was just 30 feet or so. There was considerable mixing with sleet, and the previously wet roads got very slick in a hurry! Stopped to get a coffee and witnessed a tractor trailer just about jack knife right ahead of me on a highly travelled 2 lane road, with traffic coming both ways, very slowly thankfully for everyone, so there was no accident. I white knuckled it home, and have to say I'm getting sick of this.

I'm ready to work in the yard, too!

Only about 4.5" here outside BGM thus far. Kind of surprised BGM has left the WS Warnings up for most areas as opposed to downgrading to an Advisory as it seems most areas are going to come up short of Warning criteria snowfall... especially at the 24-hour level. That said, some areas in the Central Southern Tier really got hammered last night...
