Hasn’t started yet in earnest but it was also close to a GFS cave, which would push the snow deeper into the interior NE and away from the coast. Jackpot zone of southern Vermont maybe instead of the Poconos.

6z EURO took a step back for us and likely further north too. Wouldn’t call it a cave yet, but not as nice looking.

It’s definitely better… just needs to be colder. And wetter.

Great post - thanks for the advice. Happy to have summoned you here if even for a second, haha. It's obviously a tough issue and probably something that can only be gleaned in hindsight. I've always been a nose to the grindstone kind of guy -- well, except for the fact I'm posting here during work hours, whoops. What has tended to make me happy is achievement in some way -- professional, financial, academic, etc etc. In a non-egotistical way (if possible), what keeps me going a bit is the idea that I'm great at what I do and I expect that to be rewarded with more money, a new title, whatever. And the perks that come with that - a cool vacation every year, some nice meals out, ad infinitum. I'm young and want to stay hopeful that I'm awesome and can climb for as long as possible. That's the current #grindset. That said, do want to say that I 1000% agree with the heart of your message. Would love to make my money or my mark quickly -- and I'm lucky enough to have a good start -- and check out. Having and building a strong family is ultimately the #1 priority for me - I'd even check out of the rat race at that point if it seemed things were set. I won't care about how fast I got promoted from A to B to C in 30 years... probably won't even care in 5.

12z EPS no better for Monday to my eyes

Looking at the 6z ens the 12z OP would've been the most extreme member so I'm curious if we don't see a meager improvement. Think something more dynamic can only help us. If not it's still fun to root for something wicked for someone.

Yeah I was surprised to look at the 00z EURO and see it showing a bit of a storm for 95-west. Guess it wasn't brought up last night. This is a step back from that actually but still "interesting" I guess. Not smart enough to figure out if there is any way for us to steal some more cold air or if we just need this to bomb out/amp up/something like that.

Trust me, I agree with the broad point. It is horrible that we need a perfect track, QPF bomb to get there. I'm just saying that this one isn't even close to a notable rainstorm IMO. Yes the storm can't be represented in a single panel (or even a 24hr panel) but this is the wettest 50th percentile panel I can get for the window for most of us. Typing this out I guess I'm just replying to be argumentative since this winter has finally tilted me but the average member isn't close to a memorable miss. Just another drizzly March day.
