I would have to look at averages but NW MA, S VT and E NY Have to be pretty close. That actually encompasses a lot greater square mileage than your area also.
Understandable for places Killington north I think Stratton and Mount Snow might’ve had massive icing issues yesterday. I’m just guessing but a friend of mine up in Westminster Vermont said there was half inch of ice at her place at about 1000 feet.
At least hope for a heavy coating to brighten the landscape. It has done nothing here since noon.
Franklin Co has a force field over it this winter, we can't buy frozen precip. lol
The forecasts and closures in SNE are going to look fooish. The modeled cold push was real but it seemed to hit a wall in CNE. It came down the HRV ok but did not work out past Central VT or into the Ct River Valley. My friend in Putney Vt is at 900' and he said no snow there and only .5" sleet. I keep trying to get him to join the forum.
Around 60" The hill towns around me average closer to 70"
NW MA is having a terrible winter. Pathetic totals in the Berkshires. Berkshire East is at 20" on the season, luckily it's been cold for snow making.
Precipitation pretty much shut off here an hour ago. What a disaster, Winter Storm Warning for barely a glaze of ice and .25" sleet.
Greenfield Winter Carnival tomorrow will be pretty underwhelming. They will need to cancel half of the events.
Radar getting ragged over NY/PA this will be done soon for western areas. Unfortunately, I don't see much more than a coating of ice and sleet for most posters in CT and W MA.
Crap storm for SNE/CNE during peak snow season.
