  1. You don’t think it will warm above freezing as we get later into the morning?
  2. Yeah, there is almost no reason to buy a new boat. Plenty of great used craft out there at half the price of new.
  3. Yeah, that would need a 275 or 300hp on it. Are you going brand new? Grady’s are awesome but real spendy, especially with a lot of the add-on features.
  4. Since it’s your money were spending, I would get one of these with a Yamaha 150hp. https://www.gradywhite.com/models/center-consoles/fisherman-180/
  5. That’s not what I wanted to hear, hoping we were going to trend warmer not colder.
  6. Watch the meso models tonight to see if they speed up the trend of ushering in the surface warmth. I have a feeling that’s what’s going to happen.
  7. That would be from Boulevard brewing in Kansas City. They have one of the biggest and best barrel aging programs in the US. Fantastic barrel aged ales. Their “rye on rye” is one of my all-time favorite beers, as is the Belgian quadruple that you mentioned.
  8. Somehow we grabbed almost an inch here even though radar returns were putrid.
  9. Yeah, I was drinking Lawsons triple sunshine last night. Nice beer but you could feel the alcohol as it went down. Lol
  10. I was just shoveling the driveway and the sedan pulled in. I thought he was probably just turning around but it was actually a retiree delivering for UPS in his personal vehicle. I chatted with him for a bit. He was contracted for October to January. Said he was getting $22 an hour plus $150 a week bonus if he worked 30 hours per week. He was also getting $.56 per mile for personal auto use. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that part time UPS drivers get paid more than EMTs around here. edit: i’m not envious of UPS holiday drivers pay scale I think it’s appropriate but a friend of ours son just became an EMT and his starting pay was only $17 per hour. It’s funny to look at the pay scale of different jobs and our economy as a whole.
  11. You and I are in those orange zones. Hoping the lower end of those numbers verifies. .25" and you are beginning to risk no power on Christmas Day. Especially in heavily treed neighborhoods like mine.
  12. Congrats to those down in Connecticut. -SN here with about .75” otg. Better than 0” otg.
  13. I still text her once in a while. Maybe tomorrow I’ll ask her more specific thoughts on it. It’s possible the Boston accent reminds her of some area of England.
  14. I used to have a coworker from Brentwood England, which I think is pretty close to London, and she always thought the Boston accent was quite normal.
  15. I hope you do. I can already sense Ray and I are going to get porked, Hubbdave’s mojo may have also run out.
  16. At least it keeps it interesting when you can’t trust models 48 hours out.
  17. Easy recipe and traditional. I actually have all of those ingredients at home already.
  18. Wow, those are two great opening acts!Wow, those are two great opening acts!
  19. Yeah, I used to go see them when they were playing the club scene in SNE. Then, I sort of lost interest but a Brewer friend of mine used to supply the beer for their backstage parties so I rode his coattails in for a few of their big arena shows. Their backstage “clinic” was quite the scene to behold. The piano player and the drummer are nice guys the guitar player and the bass player can kind of be pretentious dicks. I was backstage at their 20th anniversary show at Boston Garden with a nice beer buzz. I sat my ass down at a table and talked to these two guys for about 20 minutes. My friends were staring at me the whole time and when I got up they asked me if I knew the folks I was talking to. I said no, I was just being friendly and then they informed me that it was Ben Affleck and Owen Wilson. When I got home I told my wife and she googled pictures of them and I said yup that was them. She then called me a pop-culture oblivious dumb ass. Lol.
  20. Jerry’s solo bands were top-notch. In the mid-70s he was playing with Eric Clapton type skills but with a little bit more acid drenched sound. I saw the Jerry Garcia band a half dozen times between 1988 and 1993. Soulful and sublime.
