The initial front running burst of snow is going to be important out this way. Don't think I can be awake for that tho'
Maybe Kev can give me a wake up call before his run?
Creating a 3 day weekend is probably the big motivation. Give every body some mental emotional space.
If this were a Wednesday storm probably not as quick to call a snow day.
This year the N Berks are desperate for any snow. A woman I know who is a State Park ranger at Wendell SP said that Savoy SP is under 6" total since November 1st. That is highly anomalous.
WTF? All the school districts around here have already canceled for tomorrow.
We were already marginally on the fringe of this system. If this nowcasts East, it’s going to be laughable that they canceled for an inch or two.
Shutesbury and that entire W Quabbin area is one of the least populated parts of the state. Surrounded by thriving population centers such as Wendell, Petersham, New Salem and Leverett. Great hiking and XC skiing though!
I’ve just resigned myself to having fears of a last minute shuffle east right up until go time. There’s not much margin for error out here in the great NW territories of MA.
I almost prefer nothing instead of an inch or two because I’m enjoying the bare ground for a number of reasons.
I mean, I’m totally on board with snow if there’s enough for me and the kid to ski or sled on.
