  1. It runs the low from Atlanta to Syracuse and mixes almost to Phin’s backyard. Not saying it can’t happen but you don’t see winter storms run up the spine of the Appalachian’s too often. In other words I doubt we see a final solution that rains all the way to Albany.
  2. Temp at 5am is actually up to 5/-3 off a low of 2/-8. Oh well, thought sure I would hit zero or below.
  3. 3/-8 so should get into negative territory tonight. Quite a rebound tomorrow though.
  4. It’s fun to watch them modeling but I can’t really get invested in this until Thursday. Ensembles will hopefully have tightened the goalposts by Thursday morning.
  5. I think, verbatim, I would probably get pretty substantial thump of snow before the changeover. Not that it makes me feel any better about flipping to rain.
  6. Been a while since a slow moving Miller A crusher. Just don’t want it bombing out to soon...
  7. Yeah? Look at that little gray 2” zone sitting right over my house.
  8. Well, you know that won’t hold, since it has the jackpot over Ray.
  9. Low of 7F so a bit of a bust on the 0 forecast. But did pick up .25” of snow.
  10. Delay is what we want to see tho' Plenty of time to adjust the exit right.
  11. 17/10 temp has not budged in two hours. Partly cloudy with a gentle breeze so that is not going to get it done for significant low temps. Probably bottom out between 8-10 degrees. Looks fairly uniform across Franklin Co. I'm posting at 12:45am because I had coffee, about 10 hours ago, for the first time in two weeks. lol
  12. Don’t forget your mask! and I mean ski mask. Snow should be squeaky.
  13. That’s the important part. Tomorrow’s runs should be telling if we should invest.
  14. Watching the radar I bet Mitch got some accumulation tonight.
  15. Ya’ snowing pretty good here at the moment.
  16. Oh good, looks like we got a nice dusting of snow in the past hour to really polish the ice up. Down to 18/12
  17. The company that does Franklin Co pays pretty well, especially when compared to average wages out here. But yeah, a lot of early retirees work for them and I know many of them called it quits with covid.
  18. We don't need baby steps, we need high hurdler strides.
  19. It might also be because lots of delays with school buses, due to driver absences, so they don't want kids standing in the cold for too long.
  20. I'm sure everything everywhere was locked up solid today but lots of good snow making days incoming.
