  1. I think there were water spout reports there.
  2. Radar looks like we dry slot soon. Down to -SN now with an occasional pellet mixed in.
  3. I imagine the hills got smoked. I was getting those bursts of going over to tiny dendrite, fog type snow, with the good wind gusts. That usually mean up over 1k they are getting pounded. Past 2 hours had some of the heaviest snow rates I have seen in a while. Probably since Dec 2020.
  4. This storm is flying so that should limit rain damage here.
  5. uh-oh, it's coming for me. Still heavy snow falling here, probably close to 6" 31/28
  6. What was your snow total? You can see the rain marching up the valley on radar. Absolutely pounding snow in Greenfield right now, we’ll see how long it lasts.
  7. There is dry air to overcome and seems to be spreading faster more North than East. I'm 14mi from VT border and have had flurries for the past 20-30 minutes.
  8. First flakes flying in Greenfield. 21/9
  9. Not surprising, there are not many accommodations in the N Berks to begin with.
  10. I’m only at 400’ el though. Hoping for 3-4” here.
  11. Well we’ve definitely seen it happen a few times over the years. It’s a little bit rare to be going from the mid teens to rain but it happens.
  12. 17/3 so up a degree past hour. Mostly cloudy.
  13. 16/2 currently. I wonder how low we go before reversing direction?
  14. Yeah, they just get killed by their base elevation sometimes, which is only about 500 feet iirc.
  15. Cape Cod hotels are pretty plain compared to what you might find in other beach resort areas (Hilton Head etc) because most of them are 50+ years old. Unless you want to stay at an Inn? The Sea Crest is one of Kevin's faves and it's right on Old Silver Beach. It's only about a 10 minuted drive to downtown Falmouth. Buzzards Bay, so water is much warmer than outer Cape.
  16. I would say you can't go wrong with either P-town or Falmouth for best variety. I love outer Cape Provincetown/Truro for the beaches and P-town has plenty to do and great people watching. Falmouth area has a great downtown and short drives to lots of beaches and nature and easy day trip access to Martha's Vineyard. It's also more of a year round working town so the prices are not quite as outrageous as outer Cape. Anyway, can't go wrong with either. If you choose Falmouth let me know and I can give you a long list of recommendations. I grew up spending summers in N Falmouth so I'm quite familiar with that part of the Cape.
  17. Still looks like a decent front end thump here before mix and slot. Hoping for 3-5" so it at least looks and feels wintery next week.
