Sweet get my 2-3” thump and then flip to heavy rain. Maybe we can get the bottom to fall out of the thermometer post storm to really finish my driveway off.
I know the ski areas definitely need base but I would almost take all rain over 6 inches of snow changing to rain.
it’s still an odd track so I suppose we could still see this cut all the way to Buffalo. A little more sampling to ingest tonight so maybe we get a better idea of which systems will be stronger or weaker and perhaps get our coveted tug east to save the interior.
There’s a few older generation mets that I have heard use that analogy over the years. It’s not completely without merit but certainly not a la la lock it up call.
It runs the low from Atlanta to Syracuse and mixes almost to Phin’s backyard. Not saying it can’t happen but you don’t see winter storms run up the spine of the Appalachian’s too often.
In other words I doubt we see a final solution that rains all the way to Albany.
It’s fun to watch them modeling but I can’t really get invested in this until Thursday. Ensembles will hopefully have tightened the goalposts by Thursday morning.
I think, verbatim, I would probably get pretty substantial thump of snow before the changeover. Not that it makes me feel any better about flipping to rain.
