  1. Similar here, but this morning when it was in the low 20s it was raining pretty hard so that’s probably why no ice in the trees or powerlines. Big drops have more heat. If you really want ice buildup you want a nice heavy mist falling with temps in the upper 20’s.
  2. Weird, Tip said same but pretty calm here. Driveway is a skating rink though. Up to 29° with steady light rain.
  3. Uhg. Highly inflamed sore throats are the worst! It's thankfully been a while for me but when it happens I do lots of saline gargles and tea with raw honey or even a hot toddy. Also, sterilize your toothbrush after every use.
  4. Wow, that's cold. Up to 25F here with light freezing rain at the moment. Everything lightly coated but roads still ok.
  5. 24° FZRA It’s coming down hard enough that it’s sticking to surfaces but not so much to the trees branches or wires etc. The roads are going to be a mess for a little while.
  6. I'm also amazed how many times over the years I have rotted for hours at 33F. You know, systems that start in the low to mid-20's as all frozen and then the temperature climbs to just above freezing and stops climbing right there. Maddening.
  7. I was just thinking the same thing. It's 14F here and I'm getting rain tomorrow.
  8. Biggest WoR storm since I moved here in 2007. 22-24” here.
  9. Perfect, that’s just the type of snow distribution Ray and I like to see.
  10. I’m not even sure I break freezing where I am. Looks slippery.
  11. Man, first Washington got the snow and now the rain. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/weather/record-snow-serious-flooding-left-seattle-area-cut-off-from-washington-state-country/%3famp=1
  12. I’m ready for a 970mb low going over Chatham.
  13. Advisories up, tomorrow looks messy out this way.
  14. I’m still like 50 miles from the New York border. If anything I’m CNE or whatever S VT is considered to be. WCNE?
  15. Yeah, it really only snowed for a few hours in NW MA and S VT.
  16. That map shows the brutal qpf cutoff to the NW.
  17. 5.75” on the season but this current burst may get me up to 6”
  18. Lol, best snow growth of the day with this light batch moving in from Vermont.
  19. Hopefully it’s our turn next storm. The local ski areas desperately need snow. (Berkshire East, Mt Snow, Stratton)
