  1. I’ll take a few weeks of 75° if we can get it. Save the crisp days for mid October onward.
  2. I think the dehumidifier decision really depends on how dry your basement is and what you use it for. Our house is quite small but has a full-size basement so we keep a lot stuff down there. Even though the basement is bone dry I still run a dehumidifier because of what’s stored down there. I like to keep the basement 50% humidity or lower. In the winter it only needs to be emptied once a week.
  3. Aaaah, back to boring. Looking forward to some sun and warm temperatures the next few days. 62° and overcast right now but hopefully sun breaks out later.
  4. GFS has very little rain for SNE after today. Stein talk will return albeit less dramatic.
  5. It was spread out enough to prevent major flooding plus smaller waterways were way below normal flow.
  6. Up to 2.8" should be able to hit 3" That would be consistent with the NWS maps.
  7. Well, over seeding won’t do any good anyway if we go back to a dry pattern again after this deluge.
  8. Non-stop light to moderate rain since 6pm yesterday. 2.3” event total.
  9. They used to have some issues with batch to batch consistency. I have not had it in a few years though.
  10. I am north of central Connecticut and have only had .10” so far. Just some spotty drizzle and showers since last night.
  11. He is at elevation. I'm at 69/62 30mi west of him.
  12. I grew up playing Bocci and lawn darts. Lithuanian-Polish, family lawn parties, FTW!
  13. They are both amazing places. The Cape should be a little more people sparse that time of year but it's just beaches, dunes and boardwalk trails through the cedar swamps for entertainment. The terrain in Acadia is more varied and possibly more interesting to kids. The mountains meet the sea.
  14. The Pioneer Valley was a big screw zone in that one. That was my first time around out here and I remember seeing headlines in the Boston Herald and USA Today 3 days out. We got relatively porked. I was living on the Belchertown - Amherst line at low elevation, in the shadow of the Holyoke Range. Infuriating. Downtown Amherst had about 10".
