Yes , the Sox did get off to a terrible start but they played great in the 2nd half of the season. Kevin Kennedy was the manager and he liked to hear himself talk, much in the way the current manager does. Kennedy was only in his early 40's when the Sox fired him but he was never able to land another managing job. Every time I think of the 96 Sox the first name that comes to mind is Kevin Mitchell...........

I agree with you regarding 95-96, included 2 major snowstorms in April. The Sox home opener was snowed out that April. And the opener was nearly snowed out a 2nd time. The snow started shortly after the game.
