Right now I’m at 42. How fast it cools and the timing with heavier rates will dictate the outcome. While I’ll lose some qpf I may make it up on the back end per latest meso guidance.

It will snow hard but residence time is so short relatively that amounts >6” will be less likely. 41 here and clouding up. Still probably 6 hours away from onset of precipitation.

Thanks for the muthufukkas Brian. I didn’t have to look. I’m good with a modest low end warning snow event ahead of deep cold for a few days. I’m expecting 4-6 here.

Are you saying our area doubled in qpf from 18z? I didn’t segment away what’s falling from 0Z until it’s over but that doesn’t seem right.

The 18z NAMs are decidedly meh. Reggie is kind of meh. Let’s see what the major leaguers come up with shortly.

The 18z mesos have been less dynamic. Track is important but are we going to get the mid level boost? That’s what’s been driving the big totals.

People going wild when we are at 72 hours and Reggie was bombing. Now we’re entering its useful range. But believe you me I’m cool with 4 inches-very much so. But I would prefer a few hours of 2-3/hour tbh.

Both NAMs are meh. Long range hrrr is meh. With that said, let’s see how they are closer in. We’re still kind of on the outer edge of meso usefulness.

18z NAM seems to slow it down. Brings it over the bowel movement 34-36 hours at 992 and widespread good snow. Much better qpf field.

Whoever gets into an intense band can stack up. But where will the best banding be?

Keep in mind this is about a 9 hour event. 6-8 is a legit ceiling for the majority of us.

If you were Saquon would you want to sign with a team years away from relevance? Tough times for the Giants to say the least. Enjoy the good times while they last.

I used it 1/7/24 and for one event in 2022-23 when I didn’t need to but it was new and I figured I’d give it a whirl on 3”…lol. I probably could have used it for 12/20. But I shoveled the first 3 inches not expecting much more so while I had to shovel again there was no point. This time I’m waiting till the end. It’s a robust Ariens and I want to make it work a little.

That means snowblower time. I put a full tank in right after thanksgiving and started it. Don’t want to jinx it by starting it again just to be sure. Probably will blow Monday late morning. Ideally this event would be daytime but no such luck.

Hopefully they lose. Sorry Mark….i grew up and still am a Giants fan so the eagles are hated. Though I’m finding it in me to like Washington somehow. Hopefully no surprise rug pulls with this system and we all enjoy it.
