  1. Actually more like a lower end warning event verbatim. It actually was not THAT different vs 12z in terms of dynamics leading in.
  2. 6-12 en route for Brett who will post a picture of him snow blowing with the cub cadet.
  3. No. It was in reference to a family’s crazy uncle at thanksgiving who happens to be drunk but that piece was never in the name.
  4. Probably trying to resolve the big one this run.
  5. Perfect timing for mby in terms of it being an holiday weekend except the meat is overnight which is a bummer.
  6. My approach is knowing I have no control over meteorological destiny so I shall enjoy each day I am well and reasonably strong. I used to get upset over this but much less so now.
  7. Yeah maybe she should have it checked out if she’s willing. Hope she’s ok.
  8. Man that is a close call! Hope she’s none the worse for ware. Do she slip on ice?
  9. Winter and summer. Spring sucks till mid may and fall sucks from loss of light. Once I’m in winter or summer I’m happy. I have enjoyed the marches in Florida the past 3 years and this year longer due to the need to help with care of my 90 yo MIL who had a fall and broke her hip yesterday. Surgery today and hopefully recovery but it’s fraught. My winter ends 1/29.
  10. You’re so misguided about the AI Euro. To me in the medium range it’s the default strongest weight.
  11. 1-3/2-4 is dinkleshit and I’d rather it rained. More and more I’m go big or go home. I absolutely loved walking 6 miles late yesterday without a worry of slippery conditions. These 2 systems seem to be gateways into the next pattern. So I’d lean the 18th for a chance of something big but better chances 1/20-2/5.
  12. Use AI versions of guidance for (imho) a more coherent evolution.
  13. We should move to AK. 4-8 with lollies to 12 doesn’t warrant anything higher than advisory WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations 4 to 8 inches with localized amounts up to 12 inches possible.* WHERE...Anchorage and Lower Matanuska Valley.* WHEN...Until 9 AM AKST Sunday.* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As of early this afternoon, a band of heavier snowfall is just west of Anchorage and is expected to drift eastward this afternoon across Anchorage and Eagle River. It will then spread northeast into the Matanuska Valley through this evening. The heaviest snow will likely be this evening through the overnight hours. Snow will then gradually end through Sunday morning.
  14. Do you mean experienced posters and meteorologists? You sound like you think you’re superior to everyone….
  15. More than slightly. 40s for you are +10 for a high. But certainly well below January thaw levels which when I conjure in my mind I think 55+
  16. Between that and the July 66 manning the hot grill which was worse?
  17. Anyone remember where the keys to the bus are?
  18. Skynet has the 15-16th as well as the 18th. Differences can be ironed out over the next few days.
  19. You have no idea how close you have come! I was in the loft of the piano craft guild on Tremont St where I lived. My gf was with me and we were looking out across the courtyard and a couple was fully engaged with no window coverings. No ac btw. Gf looked at me as we were stewing in our own juices on that infernal night and we both concluded-way too hot to consider even for a second…lol.
  20. Incidentally uncle wants to play…albeit a bit too far east.
  21. I’m 79 years old. I’ve gained and lost love more than once in my life. So I’ll fall in love with any solution that gives the most snow….and I’m prepared to lose love within the hour.
  22. We’re getting there. That’s my take and all I can feel confident in. For now, I’ll appreciate the melt underfoot and get ready for what’s next. Plenty of football to distract the most distraught this weekend. We have a lot of good potential that is holding as we get closer. Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.
