  1. I would like to see BOS eclipse 20. Shouldn’t be too hard with 18.6 at 7AM. I don’t care about my own total which is probably close to Logan’s and I’ll measure after I get my morning activity done.
  2. Ramping back up with good growth now. Final push of the waa snows. Hopefully tomorrow produces. I’ll be heading out of town next weekend for 3-4 weeks so unless we have a good March this could be it for me.
  3. I just measured 14.5. Tough with all the drifting so it might’ve somewhat low but there’s a big difference in impact from 6-10 and 12+. It’s accumulating with heavy snow now backing down to moderate with smallish flakes. Blowing and drifting all over the place. I noticed BOS had 10.5 about 4 hours ago so I expect the next measurement to be 15+.
  4. Snow growth is ok here….pretty good actually. Was better earlier but now getting better again. Snowing heavily for sure-visibility <1/4 right now.
  5. It’s been snowing nicely but now we’re getting fatties mixing in-about to take off as we go from moderate to borderline heavy to pounding.
  6. STFU Cory! You want me to list the storms I missed? Like the best of the 20th century and many others. But I’m a grown up so I wish my fellow weather weenies well.
  7. I actually have the vaguest memory of my dad waking me up to see the heavy snow when I was under age 3. But my actual vivid memories start with the incredible month of March 1956.
  8. It’s a pretty minimal difference here-like maybe 0.1 less. Noise
  9. I don’t think he has enough memory of that to count it. Maybe I’m wrong. Also, not sure what the Weymouth total was but I was 22”. I think he beats that.
  10. I tried…I mean I’m probably his grandparents age…
  11. The damage would be done by then and Monday looks good and I don’t mean for going to school. Worry not young man, this is the signature storm of your life so far by the time all is said and done.
  12. Which store? I’m considering a last minute Wegmans run as they’re open to midnight. No kids to feed so we’ll make it either way…planning on a walk after enough of the NAM is in. Hrrr looks fabulous!
  13. If we’re using roofus and fv3 srefs deserve a berth.
  14. I'm savoring this one-a throwback to my youth. The deep winter cold laying down the foundation with perfect timing. The classic cirrus gathering in the SW sky, the excitement of a big snow on the way. I grew up in the 1950s and early 60s. The 1950s were not so kind to snow lovers until the latter half of the decade. But my early years taught me to appreciate every aspect of the storm including the prodromal high paint brush cirrus. When i was 9 years old, I read a book entitled "All About the Weather" by ivan Ray Tannehill. He described a gathering storm similar to what we're hopefully about to experience. I'm quoting but entirely from memory: "It may be a clear cold day in winter whn you notice wispy high clouds in the sky to the west." I remember the line-"the wind whistles in the pines and roars in the eaves". Some of you older posters wil probably remember the same experience as me reading and validating what I was feeling......excitement...it was going to snow! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Ray_Tannehill
