    No one called it an all timer. But the stupidity of letting all schools and businesses out at noon created traffic Armageddon. It was a good event snow wise but good in a pedestrian way. The event that just ended had far more impactful snow.

    I think with snow management today so much improved and the warning system way better the impact would be less but still greater than anything any of us have seen.

    We actually have seen that occurrence here. Let’s go to 2015. A 2 footer followed a week later by an 16 incher followed a week later by a 2 footer followed a week later by a 16 incher. The pattern doesn’t play the probability game but to your point, everything has to go perfectly right and that’s hard.

    It was a system that buried areas from DC-far SNE. Not sure of the qpf but it was less vs Steve I would guess.

    It was meh here. Definitely a latitude storm. We got 10” of sand. Big storm to the south of the MA southern border.

    Nor is op euro. Gfs at 0Z seems alone. But it’s pretty early still so we stay the course. I accidentally booked my car at RSW for Monday evening vs our scheduled arrival Sunday. I told my wife it’s easier to leave it be until we’re sure we’re getting out Sunday.

    That last band put down another 0.6. 21.1 should be final. Another shoveling but feeling fine and enjoying the deep winter. 6 more days of it until we return for March.

    Yeah it’s pounding and probably accumulating at over 1/hour. This event duration is a big plus.

    17.5 but just looked at radar after spending an hour cleanup the awful job the snow guys did. So I suspect that total will change.
