  1. So we traveled 2/1. Delta sent a message suggesting we book a different day. We made no changes as the writing was already on the wall. We had a relaxing flight probably no more then 50% capacity for all the people who took their advice. Rinse and repeat this weekend?
  2. Climo for season though? Yes if nothing happens til spring it’s sub par but you could easily reach climo with another solid 6 weeks left.
  3. One historically memorable but several moderate events. Best winter in 4 years.
  4. What about the 3-6/4-8 Saturday? Stealing Sunday/Monday’s thunder
  5. I would say the tough part is the 2 feet shown on some model runs. With that said, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to have many pull out 6-12
  6. I may have to consider a quick trip. Maybe Saturday to Tuesday….this one has as strong a d6 signal as I’ve seen for a coastal in quite awhile.
  7. Well I’m coming back 2 weeks from tomorrow. Sounds like there’s time to evolve into a snowy and coldish pattern by then.
  8. We have a new take no prisoners snowcrazed this year. The man is feeling it!
  9. Tonight’s the night BOS goes over 40” for the season to date. Impressive stretch.
  10. Quite common in Canada and Alaska. We’re having a special winter stretch.
  11. I remember the summer of 67 aka the summer of love being cool which was 180 from the inferno of 66.
  12. 39 here tonight. Hopefully it warms up later this week. I did bring my lighter winter jacket. Snow cover all the way from BOS to Georgia on the way down.
  13. The 50s did have some good coastals. I remember we moved into a new house in our town in NNJ on 2/29/56. Going to my new school 3/1 with a squeaky few inches of snow underfoot. A few weeks later all hell broke loose really solidifying my life of being a snow weenie. But there were some dud winters in the 50s that improved in the second half of the decade. Having had 2 feet of snow with the majority unmoved by melting or any other process reminds me that perhaps 8-12 would be more fun and a more manageable aftermath. With that said-we expect to be back before 3/1 (leaving tomorrow) so 2 feet in March is perhaps more manageable for us pedestrians and town snow removal.
  14. BOS with 29.8” of snow in January 2026. I think it’s safe to call that final.
  15. 85 pages. However as deep as winter has been in years with the deepest pack since 2015 and sustained cold.
