    Joe, much like David , are excellent at discussing the Synoptics of what is required for hurricanes and big snows but they are both poor in assessing if the upcoming situation is what will produce one.

    Temps were pretty good with DCA 94. C- Iad 93. B Bwi 92 A Andrews 89 A Also think I had the right idea that flooding rainfall would be at a minimum

    I think 25% of the area had heavy rain. Don’t know if any flooding. Maybe 10% had 2-3” report. For here 0.26” in 40 minutes of moderate rain, 3 minutes of heavy rain and impressive 40mph gust. Lightning much less than yesterday.

    East component to light breezes so won’t get 95-99 today, more like 88-93 so just not quite enough juice max to get us widespread flooding rains.

    90% completed and looking decent. Likely best since 2016 The contracts we now have to provide our broadcasting services nationally have restrictions as to attributions on seasonal outlooks. You all know who I network with and like it always was it’s still a collaborative effort. We don’t use tropical situation as anything more than a quite minor aspect but will still hold off until 9/21 for release

    Power back at 8:30 so 4.5 hour outage most lightning this season and 4/5 strikes very close by

    Been without power since 4pm About 5 very sharp bolts with thunder within one second. Looks like a pole by WTOP towers took a direct hit
