Heat island in full affect this morning. NYC at 46 degrees while many suburbs in the 20s to mid 30s. 32 degrees here.

Bad storms and tornadoes going thru Mississippi Valley, Arkansas to Tennessee area.

Upper mid west and upper Great Lakes certainly have not missed out on winter this month. Parts of upper Michigan have received 2-4 ft. of snow and International Falls Minnesota reached -15 and -16 this week. Minneapolis expecting a snowstorm tomorrow. The cold wintry weather barely making it across the Canadian border.

30 degrees this morning with car doors frozen shut.

Just drove from Jericho to Levittown and snow all the way, roads wet maybe some car tops getting slushy coating.

60s today, snow on Wednesday, the up and down temps. continue.

Very wintry upper mid west and upper Great Lakes. Some temps near zero and wind chills -25 along with a foot of snow in some areas. Denver may finally get their first snow.

Yes the oaks seem to have the leaves die and just don't want to fall off the tree. I have seen some oaks still have some leaves well into winter.

Yea I have the same thing, they have the yellow leaves. I didn't know they were Norway Maples.

Maples seem to be some of the last trees to lose their leaves. Although in my area there are not many trees with leaves, some maples are still hanging on but even those are losing many of the leaves. I'm not sure what trees they have in the Daytona area beside Palms and evergreens but their coldest November temperature was 47 compared to NYC 30.

Looks to me that a pattern of fluctuating temperatures, continues.

While we bask in 60 degree temperatures on Monday, International Falls Minnesota, the icebox of the nation, will have highs in the single digits and lows around -10.

37 mph wind gust here when the front went thru last night. Currently 41 degrees.

56 degrees here, feels good especially after a string of chilly days.

The NWS reporting the official high yesterday at Newark was 51. Not sure what the temperature mix up was.

I just went on the National Weather Service site and it is showing Newark as 60 degrees at 9PM. Accuweather shows 43. There seems to be some problem with Newark temps today.

Correct me if I am wrong but todays highs are 49 in Central Park, 50 at Teterboro and 56 at Newark. If that is correct, maybe Newark is having instrument problems. I had a high of 50 degrees.

Snow in the air twice this week. Tomorrow starts meteorological winter but it seems to have started a few days early.

Rain and snow here I agree if you live right on the water, they are a fair representation. However the vast majority of the area probably 99%, has been below freezing already.

If they have not gotten to freezing yet, they are not a good representation of our area,at all.

That is what my area looked like yesterday morning about 7am. It was gone by 8, so you actually might have had the same thing yesterday but if you didn't look out side early, you missed it.
