  1. With all the wind events we have had, Long Island has not had a direct hit from a hurricane in almost 40 years. Another thing that seems to not happen as much are good winter cold fronts that come thru with heavy snow squalls. Maybe tomorrow will be an exception.
  2. Squall line heavy rain but not to bad.
  3. 40mph gusts here and that is with a pine tree blocking the wind from the SW.
  4. Yea it looks like the next few weeks are up and down between mild and cold.
  5. After a low of 16 here the temperature is already up to 33.
  6. There is quite a temperature difference even among the suburban locations.
  7. Heat island in full affect this morning, 31 degrees in Central Park and teens in many suburbs. 19 here after a low of 16.

  10. To me, at this point, there is a storm off the coast early next week, therefore there is hope.
  11. Charlotteburg Reservoir N.J. averaged 33 in the day and 15 at night with 11 nights in the single digits or lower.

  13. Had a coating of snow here between 3 and 4 a.m. Gone now.
  14. Radar shows snow and rain near Atlantic City, don't know if it is virga.
  15. There is a lot of precip still coming up the coast to our south. If that does not move offshore there could be a little surprise tonight.
  16. Yea in southeast Virginia. Actually northern Virginia is in the 30s. Quite a temperature difference.
