  1. Got a little cell that just moved through here (wfh today) and the sun is back out. There does seem to be potential with that next batch (looks like it might focus more towards the 270 magnet). TBD
  2. Yea, I'm done with clouds for a while. Unfortunately, we're dealing with yet another pesky upper level, GL low. Satellite imagery is a little more spotty than the stratus we had for days at a time the last couple months, so hopefully we can salvage partly sunny skies this afternoon (in between these little vort spokes).
  3. We do pretty well in general with 80+ temps, humidity and afternoon/evening storms. It’s not a whole lot different than what Florida experiences, though they get the sea breeze effects on both sides whereas I guess we usually need a vort to add lift.
  4. What's funny is I left work in Columbia today, sun shining, and some sprinkles...then I got to Frederick, sun shining, and rain. These are very productive clouds lol.
  5. Last year was a dud up here, but so far this year Frederick has been kind of a magnet. That was an aggressive little cell that just came through.
  6. Getting rocked here. Not a lot of T&L, but wind driven torrents. Probably the heaviest burst of rain I've seen this year.
  7. Don’t call it a comeback…sun is showing out again in Frederick.
  8. If the sun can pop out for a couple hrs mid afternoon that might be enough. Tbd tho
  9. I miss yesterday’s weather.
  10. Looks like the core is going over Gambrill, but another soaker nonetheless.
  11. Getting clipped here. Pouring now with an entertaining light show looking over the Catoctin’s.
  12. Wv imagery is bubbling…gotta be some high cloud tops in there.
  13. I’m just glad it’s been a wetter year so far. Spring ‘24 vs ‘23 are like two different climates. Rode over at the ‘shed yesterday and had gnats flying in my face. Felt like old times.
  14. Bullish low humidity forecast for next next week from LWX... Behind this wave, dew points will fall into 40s come next Thursday with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. This may be the least humid day until September across the area.
  15. Cool around here usually includes abundant cloud cover, at least in this current regime...I hope that's not the case. We've been doing exceptionally well with sunshine when temps are above 75-80. I'd like to lock that in for a few months.
  16. Downpour in progress here. Summer weather ftw
  17. Looks like Sunday afternoon into Monday is the areawide storm opp now.
  18. This weather feels amazing. Beautifully humid with partly sunny conditions in Frederick atm.
  19. Getting a good light show up here, but looks like the cell is gonna scoot to the south of my local.
  20. We’ve had a lot of cooler than expected tho lol. The issue is we haven’t had much in between. Our winters follow that type of variance, too. Last year we had a lot of 70s, but it was accompanied by wildfire smoke…which I’ll pass on.
  21. Love to see this wording from LWX... The front will stall to the north across Pennsylvania keeping the local area in a warm and humid air mass through early next week.
  22. I have no issues with 80, partly sunny and storm chances. It’s the low clouds that take until an hour before sunset to break up along with 55-60 degree temps that can I do without. I’m hoping we’ve graduated from that pattern.
  23. GFS didn't seem to indicate a heat wave is imminent. If anything, it looks like we might be contending with more of those pesky GL lows.
  24. lol, I'm done with our extended November. Moving forward, Thursday looks like it has some storm potential.
