  1. Mostly just a rainer here. Couple rumbles. Though I’m assuming at least 0.25” from this line.
  2. Rain has picked up, but definitely lacking in T&L.
  3. Radar looks intriguing. Sun is in and out in Frederick…I’m ready for some electrical storms.
  4. Showers popping up to the sw, but Frederick seems to be back in a rain shadow pattern, so my expectations are low. I’d be hyped around the 270 split to Columbia magnet.
  5. Just had a 5 minute rain shower move through. Was on the northern edge, but enough to water the ground. Sun is back out now.
  6. When is autumn? Asking for a friend.
  7. Went to Hershey park today (I think for the first time)…the humidity has been impressive the last couple days. Tomorrow and Tuesday are looking peak, classic MA heat wave.
  8. It’s mid-July lol. What is it, 5 degrees above normal, if that?
  9. This is a classic summer day filled with cumulus clouds, the humidity is typical, the sun is shining…and it’s not oppressively hot. We haven’t a lot of these days this year…I’m soaking it in.
  10. I know it's less common in the summer, but we need a storm coming straight from the GOM. Those things have been lacking for a couple years now. Heck, we've hardly had any tropical remnants either.
  11. Pretty wimpy rainfall so far in Columbia. This is the type of precip you get when there's a drought...usually because the flow upstairs just ain't cuttin' it.
  12. Seeing precip flowing off the Atlantic in July isn’t the most common occurrence.
  13. The clouds look like war of the worlds incoming, but radar says otherwise. Looks like a northern scooter. We just can’t seem to get vorts to go south enough, often enough.
  14. The clouds over the Catoctin’s look like they want to party. I might be on the southern edge, though.
  15. I want my theory of “wind and clouds prior to storm chances to not be a good thing” to be wrong. We def do need the rain.
  16. I never trust wind before storms. We’re better at partly sunny and stagnant before storms.
  17. Storms seem to go way too far north now. Just look at our lack of clippers…could be a relationship between the two. How many systems have gone south of our latitude the last two years? I know it’s convenient to not talk about cc, but I think we’re seeing the impacts in real-time…at least on a short-term scale.
  18. Today is high on the Scoville unit scale. Looks like I might get clipped by a cell if it holds, otherwise looks like mostly isolated, popup stuff around the area (better than nothing). Frederick (specifically, mby) has done pretty well this year with precip. There's obviously brown patches now, but last year seemed worse up to this point.
  19. Ok, maybe it’s a little hot out.
  20. Beautiful out today. Much better than the stratus decks we were dealing with all spring.
  21. Here's the thing... if you asked me would I rather have 100 degrees with a sun angle of 73 degrees and ~15 hrs of daylight versus an altitude of 27 degrees and about 10 hrs of daylight, I'm choosing "now"... ...unless it's snowing.
  22. I’ve been absolutely destroying iced tea the last few days
  23. Just shot hoops…and I must say, it would be really cool to have the Atlantic Ocean next to me rn.
  24. Today’s heat is hitting different. Feels like the hottest day of the year so far.
  25. Finally made it to baker for the 4th. Quite a turnout. I don’t think it rained at all here today. Maybe some scraps earlier. In other news, fireworks are still poppin off…like loud at times lol.
