  1. Looks promising, but the mountains are a mid-Atlantic weapon. I never trust precip west of the blue ridge anymore. Grass is browning up here, so we do need a drencher.
  2. Seems like humidity increased a bit. I’m game.
  3. I like our setups better when it’s hot and humid with cumulus clouds instead of this alto/stratus stuff. Maybe we can get a prolonged break in the clouds closer to sunset.
  4. I was starting to miss this kinda weather. Cloudy and dry is lame.
  5. We don’t seem to be all that good at humidity anymore.
  6. Was just thinking the same thing lol. That’s how you know we’re in a heat wave.
  7. Yea, I had to double check that lol.
  8. Which desert are you in?
  9. If I had my way, I would take mid-Atlantic summers for 6 months out of the year and then fall and spring. Winters here are just so...meh lol. I love a good snowstorm, but after a while it just gets old tracking systems...not to mention the shorter days and less outdoor activities available.
  10. Looks like clouds are gonna be a thing near the mountains. Been 60/40 clouds to start the day here with an ocean-like breeze. Sunnier looking s/se. Sitting on my balcony doing some work atm. Yesterday was spicy, but not expecting that same level today given the current conditions.
  11. Today’s heat is aggressive.
  12. I was just thinking about the lack of hhh this week. I definitely remember more of those in the 90s. Granted, we have plenty of other issues to address, but air quality does seem to have improved.
  13. That was me yesterday, though I did alternate between that and A/C. The older I get the more I prefer sun and warm weather. Heat waves are pushing it, though.
  14. Definitely feeling a little more chippy outside than the last few days. I'll still take it over 50s and clouds. I may have a different opinion by tomorrow.
  15. It feels kind of awesome outside rn. Today was nothing more than "summer". Friday thru Sunday do look spicy, though. Hopefully, we can reel in a line of storms on the tail end of the heat wave.
  16. I went biking at Schaeffer Farms on Sunday (first time I've been there all year) and it was drier than I expected, though certainly nothing like last summer where streams were becoming non-existent (there were even some mud patches). If we can fuel up the humidity levels enough, we might be able to find our way to an afternoon storms pattern which should help offset the dry heat.
  17. It's been beautiful here. Finally feels like a classic mid-Atlantic summer.
  18. This weather is remarkable.
  19. Felt almost tropical out there around 8pm before the batch of rain moved in.
  20. It is odd that we've had those SE ridges in the winter, but not so much the last few summers...certainly, nothing extended that I can recall.
  21. Here's the data (and this is from DC, the heat magnet): https://www.weather.gov/media/lwx/climate/dcatemps.pdf Really nothing spectacular heat-wise the last few years.
  22. Last summer was dominated by droughts and residual wildfire smoke...this spring has been mostly cloudy from start to finish and lacking any real heat (maybe a couple days here and there). We've been miserable at snow, but we also haven't had a real punchy summer in a while.
  23. I'm craving a Bermuda High...hope next week's forecast is legit. We're overdue for a true summer. So far, this spring has essentially been a long, drawn out October.
  24. Hey look, clouds are increasing. Haven’t seen that show before.
  25. Must be a carryover from last summer’s extended drought pattern and/or other areas are lacking precip because there’s certainly been rain in Frederick this year and streams have been healthy.
