    For once I can accept they measured a little too much vs how they usually undermeasure.

    I think in the end the models will end a little too bullish east of the city (certainly not SW CT though, it really came together there). The dryslot came in fast again like Dec because of the less than ideal 700mb track. Even this morning they mostly had 16-20" here and although there's an outside chance over the next day we make it to the low end of this but 13-14" is probably what I have. Still a great event regardless. I think there was a GFS v16 run yesterday that showed the distribution particularly well with the huge max over E PA, S NY and NJ where the 700 low would allow the best pivot which looks like it'll verify very well.

    They probably eke their way to 20" by the end at this point.

    There isn’t much of a warm wedge. Just small warm layers that can sneak in when the lift and precip disappear. This is the one precip batch so far overhead though that’s not too impressive here.

    Looks like the S Nassau sucker hole is filling in and it's my turn now. Upton has generally 1-3" additional east of the city after 7pm. So that would get me to probably 14-17". My backyard has 12" depth fairly consistently which is probably compacted some at this point so I might've had 13-14" fall.

    Montauk's still at 33, models had them a good 5 degrees warmer than now. Later tonight when things really do die off and upper air temps warm up there could be some nasty glaze if we have drizzle for a while.

    Most Wunderground stations up here near where the Sound is thicker are at 29-30 degrees. South shore stations are at 32.

    Snow depth in my backyard's a pretty consistent 12" now. Still coming down nicely. Becoming a little windier if anything.

    Snow definitely seems heavier than the radar shows.

    Seaford and Massapequa had over a foot as of the 150pm report so southern Nassau must have some high totals too. That second main band looks like it really nailed the area for a while.

    Actually borderline heavy again with this batch. Radar doesn't seem to be picking up on the intensity of these mini snow bands/showers.

    There's been a sucker hole over S Nassau for a while. Hopefully that fills in soon.

    Took measurements just now in my back lawn and averaged about 11" depth, was between 10.5 and 12". Lots of blowing around though. I leave it to those like NorthShoreWX to do this one accurately. No sleet, all snow moderate intensity.

    Starting to really come down again. Have to think I’m over 12” at this point but not many spots good for measuring anymore.

    I don’t see 8 more inches of snow for most of us outside of where the bands pivot which would be N NJ and S NY.
