Based on radar and the fact the ASOS is on the SE end of the airport I think, the seabreeze is right about there. It’s up to maybe Merrick Rd.

Sooner or later it’s just how it is every day but it’s never enjoyable lol.

Now imagine this for 3-4 months straight, and that’s what TX is like in the summer. You have to be some kind of nut job to like being in that.

Looks like 97 at my house, 99 here in Melville. Still low 90s in Long Beach.

I’d 30000x rather be in the 30” snowstorm.

Feels like Austin a few weeks ago. Like an oven.

Southern Nassau away from the barrier islands looks like between 97-101.

Seabreeze might be starting- Long Beach down to 90-91 and Fire Island upper 80s.

Just saw 100 at Hempstead and N Massapequa.

It’ll be cooler in those places because of winds off the sound.

Seeing 91-92 at the PWS in Long Beach.

Already seeing a couple 90s on the PWS’s in Nassau.

That area where the winds combine will likely be the hot spot across the area. Maybe some 102-103 readings there.

We'll see how much the barrier islands and places south of Merrick Rd can heat up tomorrow. I doubt too the 65 degree water will be denied for too long.

My point/click tomorrow is 101, don't think I've ever seen it over 100.

Could be stuck in the 60s if we have easterly wind and stuck in drizzle.

Amazing to think we can go from this to backdoor drizzly gunk on Thu and Fri. GFS is back to strong easterly wind misery those two days.

Yep, this is high end stuff even though the actual highs of 95+ haven't happened for many yet. When you have widespread 105-110 HI, that's dangerous to be out in for very long.

Still 93 here. About as atrocious heat conditions as it gets.

No downslope component like there might be for tomorrow. I’m a little surprised we didn’t cool down more since water temp at Jones Beach is only 65.

Still some 95s on the personal stations in central Nassau behind the seabreeze. I’m at 93 so barely budging IMBY.

Bumped up to 94. That’ll likely be my high.

Seabreeze is about here. Looks like my high will be 93 today. Doesn’t look like the seabreeze is making it much cooler. Temps still around 90 behind it. It’s only much cooler on the barrier islands.
