  1. Out by Moriches/Eastport must be getting clocked.
  2. 8.5" here assuming 1" today. Still light snow but no more accumulating.
  3. Still a good light snow here but flakes are tiny. Can already see the snow on the deck starting to melt.
  4. Another surprise-only 6.5” at Albany Airport. I thought for sure they’d have 12+ in this storm. The downslope really screwed them. 23” at Hunter. This is the ultimate have/have nots storm but March storms usually do that.
  5. I wouldn’t say they’re done there yet given how much is to their west, and what’s still to fall has benefit of setting sun but they probably get 2-3” at most. Never would’ve thought they’d get screwed that bad from a setup like this. I thought yesterday they were good for 6”+ given models trending in their direction.
  6. Last burst from this band which looks to be pivoting east. About an inch here or a little over. Landscape/trees look nice in the caked snow.
  7. Eyeballing, I’m probably at an inch or so now on grass.
  8. Pavement here still wet but any colder surface is caked over.
  9. Nice coating now on the grass and colder surfaces. Band is setting up in a great spot for me.
  10. I grew up there and lived there until 4 years ago but now I’m in Huntington Station.
  11. We won’t get a few inches here. As soon as this banding starts to let up the snow we have will melt unfortunately. But for now-awesome.
  12. Holy wow it’s coming down. Grass is covered. If it keeps up pavement might even start to cave. Glad I left the office early as this started to pivot south.
  13. Beginning to whiten here too but what a struggle it is to make that happen. Like huge pieces of paper falling from the sky.
  14. We should be pivoting in these bands until 7-8pm or so, so many of us can get lucky and have some accums as the sun goes down. But frustrating for sure. If this was January this would be a 3-6” event where these bands are hitting.
  15. A few hours later and couple of degrees cooler and this would be 1”/hr. So annoying.
  16. Really coming down now and trying to stick to the grass. Huge flakes too, like pieces of paper.
  17. Yup seriously. Good thing we have another coastal storm coming in 168 hrs that will inevitably fail.
  18. Banding looks good coming down from CT. Frustrating that we can’t get anything to accumulate. Temp 33.
  19. Snow picking up in intensity. Looks like it could be moderate with this banding coming down from CT. Whether anything sticks anywhere is another story.
  20. Yeah, near 60” in Albany but decent chance NYC still faces futility after this. Utter epic fail. Windswept light snow here but nothing sticking with temps near 35.
  21. If you mean average for the season, they may be a hair under but close. Average there is about 60” but they were at 42” going into this. They likely get at least a foot so that would get them to 54” and 18” would be 60”.
  22. Looks like some banding starting to pivot down from CT.
  23. Some flurries here in Melville. Unless these bands really produce later today this will be just white rain near/east of the city.
