    The thing is that the NAO has primarily been positive since November. We are going on 3 plus months of no real good blocking in the AO and NAO regions. With this the near term holds no blocking either. It will be interesting to see if this type pattern holds through spring.

    Yeah if it hadn't been for the December snow this would be one of the worst winters ever here.

    Yeah it has been a nice change. Light snow all morning here.

    Well winter has come back... Current temp of 27 degress with about a quarter of an inch on the ground. Still snowing also. Love it!

    Wind is ripping with temps dropping like a rock. Temp down to 42 degrees.

    The Euro continues to show colder and possibly snowy times ahead.

    If you believe it the euro is showing a return to winter in about a week. To a lesser extent the GFS is also advertising this.

    Oh yeah its beautiful up there. Great hiking and camping.

    Wow the sun is out! Miracles do happen. Also this week looks like a run of beautiful weather.

    I almost bought a house on Balsam at 5600 feet. Beautiful view, pretty nice house but nowhere for the kids to play...

    Yeah I agree. The river really started going up yesterday and has just continued to rise. With the way the radar looks we could definitely see some river flooding into tonight. A ton of street flooding also.

    Nice Joe. It is cold and wet here with a temp of 42 degrees. The river is up here. Good times.

    Yeah the temp rose just enough after the onset of precipitation yesterday. It sure did pour the rain though.

    We got snow in Haywood. Not much but its it's something.

    More like into April and possibly May. The remarkable thing is this wet pattern we have been in for over a year.

    I remember when we had several Februarys in a row that we had a good snowstorm but recently all they have been is a prelude to spring basically.
