There's gonna be a lot of dry air in central VA east of the mountains which is why I wouldn't be as enthusitic for that area.

Still 75 miles south of last nights 00z run, which I hated.

Gotta love how the nam has the low further south and the precip shield further north compared to 12z. This model really knows how to overdo precip on the norwest side of storms.

Well true, this is one of the worst se trends I can remember at this range. The last 60hrs has just been unabated slide to the se.

The gfs and the AI Euro did the best with this. Both took a lot of trash talk from forum members.

UKMET does this hiccup before every storm. Of course we're getting screwed, but not by that far.

Even DT negged the Nam this time and usually je saves all his smite for the GFS.

Another similar setup that failed to produce was 3/24/06. You can see we had a closed 500mb low in the perfect spot but the confluence was too strong. Don't remember any snow from that setup. Maybe a couple inches in nc/va? https://www.meteo.psu.edu/ewall/NARR/2006/us0324.php
