    I’m going with 6”. Some spots in the yard had drifted up to 9 some were at 4. It would have been tough to measure on a board with the high winds.

    Average of 3 inches. Hard to get a good measurement when it is coming a mini blizzard. Now I know why the birds were going crazy this morning.

    Snow band set up right along I-81. It is also very windy outside here. Rattling the windows.

    When I left work in the south side of Bays Mountain it was pouring some big flakes. Over in VA the flakes are still really tiny and not much accumulation.

    Power went out here at 5:30. Not sure on how much ice accumulation but it was between .25 and .5 if i were a betting man.

    I tracked that extra lobe all the way north of Alaska close to the arctic circle. On 18z Euro it dives straight down into the middle of the Baja low and other northern stream trough in Montana for the triple phase. Other runs of Euro and other models have this lobe of vorticity but had it east. Anywho stuff like that is sitting close to the Arctic circle and is poorly sampled for bad trends or good trends.

    Not to get lost in the sauce but the 12z CMC has another SE winter storm at hour 240.

    6z Euro was just a thing of beauty (except for the ice). How it unrolls the Baja low is almost perfect with how it has the shortwave moving through the Dakotas. There is going to be ice somewhere though. I think that is unavoidable with an overrunning setup.

    Just woke up to a healthy 1” to maybe 1.5” inch of snow. Roads are covered. Mix of rain and snow currently. Nice surprise Clark.

    Just straight pouring the snow in Kingsport.

    Looks like a WWA was just issued for several counties but also a Winter Storm Watch. I wonder if the watch was a mistake/glitch.

    Pretty cool to see a mesolow make landfall off Lake Michigan. This is the feature that will pivot through the area tomorrow.

    The low Saturday morning at KTRI was 39 degrees which was a record low.
