    Just got a call from my daughter coming back from ski club up at Gunstock. Their bus is apparently not moving as it's sliding off the road when they try to drive forward. Coming down 11A toward Winni is not where I'd want to be driving on a night like this. Just above 32 here but PWS sites up around Gilford are just under 30.

    About a half inch overnight puts me at 11.5 on the season. Maybe add another half inch tomorrow. 33F

    Funny how those clown maps show the less fortunate areas painted in varying shades of gray, kind of reflecting the mood of the snow lovers in those regions.

    If it's any consolation, I was just in the mode of hoping for any kind of snow/frozen after basically nothing since November. Finally got some Thursday and about half my yard is still coated. So, hopefully the trends will continue to move the better chances from north to south.

    Looks like about 2" here. Really fat flakes earlier. Still coming down but looks like back edge is approaching. 33F

    That would be actual snow on the ground here as depicted...so way more than a refresher for me.

    Getting that stormy feel...winds gusting...light rain falling.

    Watching daughter and friend skating at Puddle Dock rink in PSM. Pretty comfortable sitting outside with a couple layers on. At least skating conditions have been good with the lack of snow. Gonna be a mess here tomorrow. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

    If it's to be believed, NAM 10:1 would give me about 5 inches by 06z on Tuesday but I'm guessing we're looking at lower ratios

    If you look at the 12z euro and 18z GFS, it would seem like the FV3 is a compromise between the two. So maybe not so far fetched.

    Well, if the euro moves in that direction overnight it'll definitely pique a lot of interest here.

    2015 was pretty crazy here but I have to think that there's a chance of a true wall-to-wall winter where things start early and basically lock in for three months. Maybe the brief interruption a few times but then quickly back to deep winter and repeated hits and/or stalled out storms that last 3 days. One can dream.

    Get some blocking with that and we'd have something real nice.

    The way I've been seeing it is November was like December and now we're having a January "thaw" in December. Things are starting to look up with possible threats as soon as next week. Just keeping fingers crossed that we can keep momentum at least through the end of February.

    Pretty gradual temperature rise from mid 40s early this morning to 54 now. Thankfully, mostly light precip all day so no water issues.

    49*. Rain mostly light with occasional heavier episodes. Think we'll avoid any issues here and hopefully this is the last threat to my basement until next next spring.

    Saw this this other day. Maybe there is something to the notion of precip increasing of late at least in terms of US average. May not be applicable on a regional level.
