Interesting storm...surprised to read this from Ars...
"With a central pressure of 917 mb on Saturday, Erin ranks as the second-most intense Atlantic in the last 50 years prior to today's date, behind only Hurricane Allen in 1980."
Not sure what style you're looking for but Barking Crab is good for "in-the-rough" shellfish, etc. Went there years ago and enjoyed it. Plenty of choices obviously and don't pass up Chinatown.
Headed to Truro tomorrow. Guess I won the weather lottery for vacation week. Would be cool to experience a little tropical action down there but I'll take it.
Smoky and 76F
81/58...pretty much ideal. Hoping we can translate this to first week in Aug when down on the Cape. A little humidity won't hurt but don't want everything covered in dew. Doesn't look wet at this range so fingers crossed.
Remnants of Chantal spinning south of NS on satellite. Seems like there should be more activity showing up by now but it's quiet out in the tropics even in the eastern Pacific.
Heat wave here with today being the hottest at 93.5.
If HRRR is right, nice cool down next couple of days. About 20 degree difference between here and the Hudson Valley. 89/79 now, although I'm not sure how much I'm trusting my Davis dews lately.
