  1. Not going to let the 6z GFS suck me into believing the parade of rain storms. Hopeful signs the pattern actually changes by end of the month. 66/60 nice "summer" morning.
  2. Measurable precip the last 3 days which is welcome, though I realized my Davis was clogged so not sure what I actually got here. Nice pink hued skies this evening as the clouds depart. 59/58
  3. Not a great shot on the phone but getting a little of the air show over here. Hopefully they get it in tomorrow too but doesn’t look great.
  4. Going on day 12 <80F. That's probably about normal but would seem pretty hard to do this time of year. 74/70 with filtered sun.
  5. August was only slightly BN here but bucks the trend of the summer, which ends just a bit under +2. Got 1.32" of precip in Aug with 5.21" total for met summer, which is -6.93". Need to shake things up to start correcting this deficit.
  6. Observation deck looks pretty quiet. 70/57 here...beautiful. Good a decent .25" yesterday and overnight. I cannot remember the last time I mowed my lawn.
  7. Excellent day to hit the mackerel at Goat Island in PSM. A little breezy but comfortable.
  8. GFS offers chances at some rain in the extended...mildly interesting anyway. It's all we have to track this time of year.
  9. 92F. Picked the worst day to tackle some landscaping.
  10. Interesting storm...surprised to read this from Ars... "With a central pressure of 917 mb on Saturday, Erin ranks as the second-most intense Atlantic in the last 50 years prior to today's date, behind only Hurricane Allen in 1980."
  11. Looks like a fairly significant fire up there on sat.
  12. Surprised at this little storm but we take. Before this we were at 2.02" since 7/1.
  13. Of course, storms dissolving on approach. We'll get a little but hard to get much lately.
  14. Not sure what style you're looking for but Barking Crab is good for "in-the-rough" shellfish, etc. Went there years ago and enjoyed it. Plenty of choices obviously and don't pass up Chinatown.
  15. 81/72. Looking at likely 4th heat wave this season. Up to 18 days >= 90F.
  16. Hit 95F here. Leaving the AC off for the moment but expect we may want it tonight.
  17. Back from a nice week on the Cape. A little smoky and cloudy to start but last few days were stellar.
  18. Do you mean Jenness Beach in Rye, NH? Nice little beach.
  19. Headed to Truro tomorrow. Guess I won the weather lottery for vacation week. Would be cool to experience a little tropical action down there but I'll take it. Smoky and 76F
  20. 52.8 this morning. Haven't seen 40s here since June 4. Looks like extreme summer doldrums on the horizon. See you in October.
  21. 96/74. Almost acclimated to this now. Doesn't feel as hot as a month ago.
  22. 81/58...pretty much ideal. Hoping we can translate this to first week in Aug when down on the Cape. A little humidity won't hurt but don't want everything covered in dew. Doesn't look wet at this range so fingers crossed.
  23. 55F this morning. Not bad in these parts for July.
