  1. Noticed the fireflies here tonight. Definitely more than I've seen in recent years. Comfortable evening...68/65
  2. 59/58 and .8" this morning. Good drink for the garden and yard that were starting to crisp up.
  3. Hit 100F at my home station...first time recording that since it was set up in 2018. Now 80/74.
  4. I brought my daughter down a couple years ago and we stopped in at Skaket Beach near low tide. I forgot how crazy it gets with the tide...just sand for like a mile into the bay. Should be back in August staying at a place on Pamet Harbor in Truro.
  5. Nice. Family went there on vacation back in the late 80s/early 90s maybe? Lots on the water were selling for like $8K...my parents nearly picked one up while we were there. Oh well.
  6. A whopping .12 today. At least it wasn't in the 40s.
  7. Looks like it could be pretty nice next Saturday at the moment...hoping that holds for backyard grad party.
  8. Cooling off nicely on that sea breeze. 72F. Probably kill off any storms that try to get close.
  9. Predicting first "shot across the bow" in a couple of months.
  10. Got to 93F around mid-day...legit feel of summer. Now at 68/65. Looks like it'll take a miracle to avoid an indoor graduation ceremony tomorrow...sucks.
  11. Black flies are the worst although we don't have a ton around here. I seem to be particularly allergic to their bite...it will itch for days. Scratching doesn't help since they leave that little hole in your skin as extra punishment. Actually looking forward to a little HHH...been a struggle to get the house warmed up with nights in the 40s lately. Made a nice recovery today...46-76.
  12. Yesterday was actually pretty nice most of the time after some morning rains. Only managed .5" brining the month to 8.18". May temps ended about average here.
  13. Felt like Nosferatu stepping out into full sun this morning. Up to 64 now. Hoping the periodic cold fronts return this summer to give us regular t-storm chances. Pretty blasé in that department recently.
  14. Made it to 62, now falling back under increasingly cloudy skies. Hope we break out later this afternoon.
  15. I saw this pop-up and was wondering why. This is usually reserved for when it's actually warm and people underestimate the potential for cold water shock.
  16. Up to 7.67" for the month from a steady string of mostly smaller events. Biggest single day was only 1.61" on the 10th.
  17. Staying dry so far but tonight looks pretty nasty. Been running the mini-split heat off and on for a few weeks...no AC needed for quite some time is my guess. 48/44
  18. Today ends the nine day streak of precip...5.42" this month. Perfect timing for Mother's Day. 60 and breezy out this morning.
  19. Seventh straight day of measurable here and over 3" so far this month. Far cry from last May with 2.5" for the whole month.
  20. High of 58F today...good day to get in some yard projects. Hoping to squeeze in some more tomorrow before the murk settles in. Actually a little too cool this evening. Now 49 with a chilly breeze.
  21. Right, I mix it up with the event that hit the Suncook Valley the year before. Where we lived at the time, the 2006 event was a close second to the 2008 ice storm in terms of impact. Before WFH, couldn't commute to work without risking water crossings and road washouts along the route or drive two hours to find a clear path.
  22. A GFS blend with the globals may be more likely...not buying the May 2005 redux.
  23. Low of 41F. Could be a 40-degree day here.
