  1. That brings back memories. I don't know if it was required but I remember reading that for intro to wildlife management course at UNH back in '88. Also recommend Nature I Loved by Bill Geagan.
  2. Looks like around 7 inches or so. Pending what might fall overnight, 8 inches might be doable. Still some good bands and gusts spinning in from the northeast. Been 33/31 since 10 am this morning.
  3. Hard to capture the intensity but it’s pouring snow. My little Japanese maple getting shellacked
  4. Been pounding for a few hours now. Over 2 inches thus far so accumulation has been slow. 33/31
  5. Trying hard to complete the flip here. Still mainly cat paws with occasional busts of snow. 36/34
  6. Will be interesting watching this develop tomorrow. Looks like we'll be in the right front quadrant of that low as it pinwheels into Cape Ann. Still thinking around 8-10 final here but winds may be the bigger story. School decided to do an early release thinking it won't be snowing until tomorrow afternoon...not sure about that.
  7. Been absorbing the analysis here. Great discussion. Still seems like a flip of the coin as to how this ultimately plays out. Seems like higher elevations in W New England are a lock for a nice storm. Going with 8-10" here but we'll be waffling on the real solution until go-time. Wish we had a colder air mass to help make this a true all-timer.
  8. Still coming down at a good clip but basically zero gain in accums. Maybe end with 4" if we're lucky.
  9. The nickel and dime winter has really turned into a penny winter. Don't think models did very well in their depiction for my area...maybe HRRR came the closest. Never got a good cold drain from Maine as we often see in these.
  10. Temp dropped a degree in the last hour or so and been snowing at a good clip. Everything pasted. Too wet here early on for good snow growth. Approaching 3" now. 33/31
  11. Feeling good about the largest event of the season so far, and only need 5" to do it. Currently 40/28.
  12. It was pounding at Loon Mt this morning. Probably 6 or 7 inches on the car. Conditions were a little slow though. Sleet/mixed snow grains and foggy most of the day after the snow ended.
  13. Not bad here in Lincoln NH. It looked like we’d get shadowed this morning with low rates but it picked up later in the day. Nice day of skiing in the end.
  14. Steady snow continues...over an 1" now. 22/18
  15. Some light snow now. Winter took its time establishing itself but better late than never. Let's keep it rolling through 3/15 and then move on to spring.
  16. 12z NAM looks fairly robust for this afternoon/evening. Maybe tack on a half inch. Headed to Loon tomorrow through Friday, looks good up there to maintain some nice conditions. 17/13
  17. Got another .5 of snow/sleet last night...final 4.5 here. Baby steps. 26/10
  18. These snow showers moving through now are really nice because it's actually cold out...been missing these conditions all winter.
  19. I'll be skiing next week up north for the best storm of the season in CNE/SNE. Figures. Kinda hoping this one is less of a monster and we save the energy for a bigger event when I'm back next weekend. Regardless, looks like a nice event for most of the board.
  20. Winter 2022-2023 Promises Plenty of Mid End of Season Mayhem
  21. 40/26. Always on the fringe of the good stuff but would be pleasantly surprised with 5" if we can keep the changover to hold off longer. HRRR seems like it keeps us from completely flipping to sleet even here in Gooseville.
  22. Bit of a surprise here. Nice fatties now and around .5 off the pavement. 33/30
