    My family just sent me a video with big fluffy flakes falling. Looked like some accumulation starting on the grass. Thermostat says 35 apparently. Still just rain in greenbelt.

    Couple flurries right now while I’m driving on the BW Parkway. Well mostly stopping on the BW Parkway.

    Who knows what Feb and Smarch bring, but there’s definitely a chance that this winter is remembered as a ratter for most on the EC. It’s also quite possible I’m over 18” by Friday with 5-6 weeks left of reasonable snow climo. Not going to be a ratter for me even if ends up being less than our November weenie dreams.

    Agree. Now we can stop chasing epic pattern and just wait to see if we get a few threats through our last 5/6 weeks of winter. I very much doubt Friday is the end of winter.

    Everyone is always HECS hunting, but this looks like a fun winter week to me. Multiple light snow events possible, with potential for some heavy bursts within them, and some legit arctic air.

    I’d maybe agree but the rush hour aspect of it probably warrants a WWA for the entire CWA.

    Actually, every storm this year has looked good in medium range, crapped out in the 48-72hr range, then come back strong in the last 36-48hrs. Not saying it will happen like that again, but...

    Courtesy of @mitchnick. Ukie looks VERY good for next weekend's setup: TPV rotates to the 50/50 spot, good PNA ridge axis, nice shortwave over the Rockies and precip streaming up from the Gulf.
